Why doesn't USAID fund Serbian language and universities in Kosovo, why do they not set up permanent offices for the protection of human rights in Kosovo? Serbs are being wiped out and their language and way of life is severely under threat. Why does the US of A always make matters worse wherever they go. When you live in a country you should learn the language of that country so you can geta job there. In the long run this is a precuror to more secession of Serbian territory.

This innitiative gives us a good idea how much Serbia cared about education and status of ethnic albanians in the south. No schools, no roads, no nothing....

Now all of the sudden after so many decades they want to invest something in the regions where Albanians live.... no wonder why Serbia is/was full of ethnic conflicts.

Albanian language? I would not teach them in Serbian or any other language. Western Balkan + Hungary has a flood of economists and lawyers.

Well Hungary is the country of 10million selected team coaches and 5million lawyers. The only problem is that both sense of justice and soccer(exept U-20 team) are at low level. When I ask my serb friends' kids what they would like to be they usually answer:tennis, soccer or basketball player. When I ask the same in Hungary they say közgazdász lófasz(economist) or jogász balfasz(lawyer). How can 4 year old kids know what a lawyer does??

'The opening of the faculty was financed by the American Agency for International Development. It is expected that similar departments will be opened in Bujanovac and Preševo.'
Surprise, surprise, once again. The yanks are paying for this.
I only wish they would fund Turkish speaking faculties in Germany, or Spanish speaking universities in southern California, Arizona and New Mexico.
Wherever they stick their big, unwanted, nose, it's bad for Serbia, that is what Serbs need to understand.

"31 in the law school and 19 studying economics."

Jesus, that's what Serbia/KiM and Albania need the most. Not engineers, agronoms, vets, doctors, scientists, programmers - but 31 lawyers and 19 economists.

Yes, indeed, America is the country of lawyers and economists. Why need to produce anything if China can do it?

Sorry, it was intent as a good news, and in the fact it is - just the major (i.e. law and economics) is a bad news.

Wow that sounds like out right persecution of the Albanian minority in the south of Serbia. Something should be done. A march maybe . Why cant the international community see this as the racist anti Albanian policy it really is.

There is no alternative but to terrorise the local Serbian and non Albanian communities and then demand independance. Only then can we have a proper multi ethnic society where everyone is respected equally, you know...like in Kosovo.

Good luck in increasing educational opportunities for Albanian students. In fact from what I discovered on-line there is some Albanian school in Canada ( the province of Alberta & the city of Edmonton)which has volunteer teachers and I believe they only teach young children who are Albanian-Canadians and possibly Kosovar-Canadians on how to speak Albanian.
