John..."we have enough of polish and others running around in our country"
If you are so concerned about "our country" how about you start by learing how to spell Britain correctly!. Britain should welcome the additional tourism and trade that relaxed visa regime would encourage. How about we start to foster better relationships with deserving people throughout Europe rather than being so narrow minded, ignorant and nationalistic. I for one , and I suspect many others would welcome such a positive step.

You don't understand at all, you seem rather ignorant. If the UK were to give Serbia visa liberalisation, it wouldn't be for living/ immigration purposes. Tourism and Business. Poles can immigrate to the UK but that is because they are in the EU and I have no problem with that because they are beneficial to our economy. Also what makes you think that lots of Serbs would want to move to the UK? Yes there are quite a lot of people from the Western Balkans who came to the UK during the wars of the 1990s, but that is because they came as refugees.

Ian...I totally and unreservadly agree with you. John, how utterly narrow minded of you. Please do not assume all Brits share your blinkered view. Serbia is a part of Europe and I have travelled there visa free on many occasions and always been made to feel very welcome. Why should we not return the courtesy? Contrary to what you say, not all Brits would shun the idea.

No m8, i do mind, & the rest of britian would mind too. the reason 4 this is, that we have enough of polish and others running around in our country, 2nd after all that trouble in balkans id rather keep em away, at least for nother 8/10 yrs. there are still trouble going on in balkans, now we have a lot of Albanians Croats & from bosnia, if serbs show up in big numbers, w,ll have a problem here too, just like they are facing in Australia..
