He and fellow albanians are trying to steal Serbian territory and he is angry because Serbia won't accept the theft of Serian land and the expulsion of Serbs.

Dear MikeC,
First of all albanians never have stolen territory in ballcan peninsula, they just have lost territory there during the history... When slavs came to balcan in VII century ancestors of albanians offer to them land and water to make them live among free people (illyrian - ILIRI in albanian means free people), BTW then there lot of wars and slavs normally occupied land there.

No one in the world has born that in his hand had piece of land, humans are selfish and that's why there has been to many wars. History has given us lot of lections but we never learn, especially in ballcan countries! Let's improve ourselvs and enter Europian Union and give a better oppurtunities to our children for a better life and in peace!!! (Germans, French and British were enemies once, but now they cunstruct a wonderful Europe together)
Peace to all!

Really? So, who will fight and win against NATO?
(aRTa, 12 October 2009 20:20)

Oh Arta, you still think this is about guns and bullets. You keep thinking Kosovo will be a beacon of light. Let me tell you- it won't. It is a dark hole that is only going to get darker and deeper. There is no future for anyone in Kosovo and NATO know it. So Pristina should go ahead and unveil that statue but I tell you that Clinton in private would be thinking its the biggest mistake of his whole political career. Enjoy your "independence"

aRTa,

I could not have summed it up any better that Berisha, 12 October 2009. All the Serbs have to do is wait and not lift a finger or spend a single Euro.

NATO is not interested in anyone in Kosovo because the US just wants a base and it’s paying the Albanian politicians to keep control of the populace and they perform their duty by promising investment from the EU and plenty of jobs, which never appears.

Initially, when NATO went into Kosovo, Albanians from Albania crossed the border in the hope of gold and riches which we have always associated with the Americans. However, as the years have passed the very backbone of Kosovo society, the professionals, have left and never to return leaving only the old and those that cannot find a country to take them.

Do you for a moment think that the EU will allow Kosovo to merge with Albania, I think not, they do not want a large Islamic nation in its midst. When the time is right NATO will stab the Kosovars in the back.

Thaci has taken a snippet of the report to talk about.

The rest of the report is very critical of his government. It cits political influence and corruption in all areas of public sector and judiciary.

I wonder why he didn't mention that.

The statement on effectivenss is administration is absurd and has been dealt with.

But this John character seems to be unaware of sonme facts when talking of parallel structures and international law.
- 1. International law places no emphasis on civil disobedience.
- 2. Your own supreme court, with the participation of internations, ruled their was no genocide in Kosovo (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/1530781.stm). I wonder how that will look in your case before the ICJ.
- 3. If your going to use Amnesty Reports to defend Albanian parallel structures, well then given what they've said about Serb rights makes them just as valid.

It seems when talking of international rights and parallel structures the Albanians are extremely selective. I think they're aware how legitimate their claims really are.

This time you showed your real face by quoting the 90s. Serbia has provenly committed severe crimes against the International human rights law, the very base of the International Law. There are proven verdicts against several high ranking Serbian politicians and military. According reports from Amnesty International (AI), Kosovo suffered under Serbian the worst situation in all Europe. Against that kind of tyranny even the International Law allows civil disobediance what was exarted by the Albanians almost a decade peacefully.

That fact that you fail to mention that proves that you really don't understand the meaning of International Law .

Furthermore if you visit villages in the western Kosovo they are completely deserted. You see large beautiful houses with elderly folks living on them. Their sons and daughters live abroad because there are no opportunities in Kosovo. There is hardly any youth left in these parts of the country. > This was achieved as a result of the good administration of the Kosovo government and the effective implementation of laws and fight against corruption and organized crime without compromise,” Thaci was quoted.

Funny thing is, is that there are K-albanians who actually believe this tripe - reality is that the K-albanian 'justice system' is nothing but a bad joke.

This from a couple of days ago:
"PRIŠTINA -- A Kosovo Albanian judge who voted against a decision to send three former so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) members to jail has been suspended."

This judge was suspended for revealing his vote as part of the three member judiciary panel (other 2 judges being EULEX 'internationals') for this case & has since been sacked.

The reason he gave for doing so was that he took very seriously indeed the threats that were made against him after the verdict - so he wanted to show that it was 'not his fault' that the 3 KLA accused were convicted for torturing civilians.

So how on earth can any witness in a contentious case in Kosovo be protected, when this is the way the K-albanian judiciary feels, acts & delivers verdicts.

'Witness protection' is simply non-existent - a point which became very evident indeed in the Haradinaj case last year when the accused (former K-albanian PM Ramush Haradinaj) was aquitted after allegations of widespread witness intimidation & murder.

And judiciary impartiality, at least on the part of K-albanian judges, goes out the window.

So what is the response from the K-albanian 'government'?

They complain about the guilty verdict... which isn't really surprising seeing as one of the convicted, ex-KLA commander Rrustem Mustafa is a serving MP & chair for the K-albanian committee on Internal Affairs & Security, as well as vice-chairman of Thaci's political party, the PDK.

And they are seemingly utterly unconcerned over the complete breakdown of their judiciary - but this is only to be expected from a place in which 'organized crime is the form of government' as succinctly described by the german secret service, & led by an ex-terrorist & narco-trafficker like Hashim Thaci.

Here once again are the latter's words: "This was achieved as a result of the good administration of the Kosovo government and the effective implementation of laws and fight against corruption and organized crime without compromise."

Not one word of truth - indeed the truth is diametrically opposite.

Which sums up Thaci's 'pseudo-state' in a nutshell - ie: a fake-state run by organised crime in which an independent & effective judiciary would be an actual impediment & so is unwanted & actively opposed.

And that is today's Kosovo.

"But when the Albanians had parallel structures in the 80s and 90s that was no problem?"

-- Oh dear Ron, once again you're using common sense. You know the nationalists here don't like that. Why do you have to be so mean and insensitive? :)

When the time is right NATO will stab the Kosovars in the back.

people and other governments for his own shortcomings. What a silly little man.

Silly: yes, little: yes, man: NO

for the rest just reading Berisha's post says it all, nothing to add!

I wonder what he would say about Clinton, Bush, 9/11, Iraq etc etc... It would have been great I'm sure ;)

Thaci has taken a snippet of the report to talk about.

The rest of the report is very critical of his government. It cits political influence and corruption in all areas of public sector and judiciary.

I wonder why he didn't mention that.
