From human point of view I totally agree with you and besides I am also not happy about the Turks. But as you know nowadays politics have little to do with such things as formal logics and justice. Serbia’s fate proves things stated above. So in South Caucasus we have other logics and other motivations. One cannot give even the short list of them in a small comment like this. Events that made the current contacts between Erevan and Ankara real are :
• the defeat of Georgia
• shift of the balance in Russia’s favor
• close defeat of Yushenko
• the increasing transiting role of Turkey ,
• US pressure at Armenia ,
• Russia’s interest to escape war against Iran ,
• Azerbaijan’s disappointment in weakened US positions in the region ,
• Turkish fear of Iranian nuke , Nabucco project to cross Kurdistan ,
• improving relations of Russia with Azerbaijan +Turkey ,
• protest of the Armenian diasporas ,
• Turkish will to become a EU member …

As you can see none of the motives have anything to do with the true words that you say. The politicians are too cynic to think different.

EU is weak by design. 27 nations must agree to every single thing. Even the a pathetic parastate like Cyprus or fourth world country like Romania can veto everyhting. US has the same GDP (roughly), a much better military and speaks with one voice, decisions are made in minutes, not after 18 months of "negotiations."

Arta have you ever been to Cyprus? It will take the Albanians many years to reach the standards of living of the Greek Cypriots.

The fact that they refuse to recognise the illegal narco-state of Kosovo doesn't make them a parastate.

As a matter of fact i haven't heard any serious poster making any kind of nasty remarks against Cyprus.

So keep your remarks for the Albanian coffee-shops.

It's not just UK that helps USA: the Baltics and Eastern Europe needs the US to be saved from Russia. They know the Russians well.

Oh, and without the US Military we would not have a EU to argue about.

As long as Turkey refuses to recognize the Armenian Genocide, it is in NO position to demand Armenia's withdrawal from NK.

No recognition,
No withdrawal.

The agreement calls for a joint commission of independent historians to examine the genocide question. Some experts say the commission would be a concession to Turkey as it would revisit an issue Armenia says has already been confirmed

b92

Why doe's the world have to wait for the historians to do their jobs? What are we waiting for? Are we waiting for the genocide to go away and for historians to see things Turkey's or US way?

What a total nonsense. There are thousands of documents from Western Embassies detailing the atrocities of the Ottoman empire against the Armenians.

British politicians at the time ,Lloyd George and Churchill, called it a genocide ang no amount of spin from either Turkey or Obama can change that.

However, one doesn't fail to notice the the US is doing its outmost to eliminate any obstacles-and the Armenian genocide is a big one-that will hinder Turkey's progress within the EU.

It's the same old US , whose main objective is to have a weak EU, and the UK, who works as a faithful agent for the USA.

Armenia got hosed in so many ways:
No Genocide admission.
It must leave NG.

All because US /EU want relations with Turkey, the 75 million people gorilla and because Armenia was allied with Russia.
