It's amazing how many Albanians worry about how Medvedev will be received in Serbia.
Don't worry. He will be happy.

Without Russia's support Serbia would have no hope of keeping Kosovo so this Medvedev and Putin deserve the best welcome Serbia can offer them.

If the Albanians begrudge this then they are free not to invite the president to Albania. As far as Kosovo is concerned I doubt there would be any problems crossing the border for Medvedev. I'm sure he doesn't see the point and he is visiting Serbia in the capital city not in the Serbian province of Kosovo.
When he expresses desire to visit Kosovo, I'm sure nobody will stop him.

KingoftheCroats,

Serbia has fetta cheese. Unlike Croatia which does not have enought bread to feed its people.

Hundreds go to Serbia each week just to buy bread.

If Medvedev does go to Zagreb you might tell him of the high standard of living over there but get the beggars off the streets it might not impress him.

I think Serbs will offer Sirniki instead of Feta cheese!

You need feta for muckalica tough. Last time we made a crazy move to replace the pork with turkey (the bird, I mean) and since we run out of the cheese from Subotica, we opened the Albanian one.

Interestingly, yes, the Albanian has more sharp taste, even if it is feta not kackaval. You can play with one or the other ingredient in muckalica that way, but no way to omit the feta, than in will be a "pörkölt" or maybe "paprikás", not "muckalica".

Ataman my good friend,
I think the occasion calls for thin slices of kackavall. For one thing it’s smellier but also its sharp taste goes very well with the high C notes of trumpets players. If only Serbian government could afford the three amigos, then will have a real show on the go.
Trumpets on one side, who’s gone provide crumpets.

He should also give a speach in North Mitrovica. That would be a nice smack in the face to some bad guys.

I dare Medvedev to make a trip to Mitrovica. He will need to get a permission from Kosova Govermant in order to enter Kosova.Ops, he can drive by himslef as an ordinary Russian citizen and he will be allowed in without any problem.

"Feta" and "Fustanella" begin with "F" and of the same geographic place. To bad, they can't agree in last 4000 years, who invented both.

Anyway, both kinds of cheese are represented on the picture.

(oops, gave an "invalid" + to myself, wrong click). Wanted to double-check the picture and misplaced the mouse.

I am satisfied with the quality of KS cheese (upper box), but the quality of the pic is lousy, the camera focused on the large screen. Apologies.

At least the "φέτα" came out OK. The upper box reads "Djathë i bardhë" (who can't read it).

The camera was Canon 5D and the lens the 24-105. So no excuse, just laziness.

No, king, there will be no feta cheese, that will be when a Greek president or FM comes to Belgrade - but how appropriate to have 100 trumpeters, it will add to all the hot air that will be spewed by the politicians. BTW, I didn't know the Croats have a king.

Will there be dancing girls and feta cheese for all?
(KingoftheCroats, 9 October 2009 16:38)

And if he went to Croatia he would be greeted with Heil Hitler and Zeig Heil?

Dancing girls for sure.
Otherwise I need to bribe Leonidas or Village-Bey.
