I don't know if this man was guilty or not of 'sex tourism' or child molestation as it should be called when children are involved.

But there is a real separation in the minds of some men about sleeping with a child abroad or at home. The idea that sex with a minor, whether girl or boy, is less of a crime when it is in another country is repugnant.

They should be chucked into jail in these poor countries where children are so vulnerable, and made to donate large sums of money to local orphanages and childrens funds.

Personally, I don't care whether he was with a male or female, as long as they were consenting and over 18.

What's all the ruckus about this story? It's just the French being French. When someone can say they are appalled at the US' behavior regarding Polanski, what more can you say? That's not hard enough punishment. Besides, he violated Buddhists in Thailand, so he has to beg "their" monks to forgive. And feel blessed + lucky if they do. But no cheating and no hotels, airplanes, trains or vehicles. Go to Tibet bare feet and sleep on the ground.
