The basic rights of Kosovo Serbs have been violated everyday, everywhere on the territory of Kosovo since NATO came into the territory with the UCK hot on their heels in mid June 1999.

The campaign against the Serbs has never relented and EULEX are not doing them any favours by arresting the wrong people and keeping the war lords in power. Basically life for Serbs could improve instantly if the 'west' began to practise what it preaches. However, the 'west' sees a monoethnic, monotheistic scenario as the only peaceful solution and has worked towards that goal since 1999 and before.

The basic rights of the Kosovo Serbs are being violated because the USA and NATO very, very forcibly allowed the ethnic Albanians far, far too much power instead of trying to work out problems, equally and fairly, between the Serbs and ethnic Albanians.

By the way I am not going to talk about Prishtina, Ferizaj, Gjilani and other places ,since you can hear Serbian language on every corner of every street. Freedom of movement for everybody man, but you should come and take a walk yourself to see it and hear it.

Jesus Christ!! Do You hear serbian language on every corner on every street of Priština or Uroševac?? What a miracle!! Becouse i'm don't hear any serbian voices on the street of Priština or Uroševac. Mayby You speaking about Gračanica or North Mitrovica?? There i can hear serbian on every corner of every street. But only becouse Gračanica and North Mitrovica are outside albanian administration.
Or mayby in Priština and Uroševac are Albanian guys, who play role of K-Serbs for western authorities ;)
It's very probably becouse e.g. in Uroševac today live mayby 100 mayby 200 K-Serbs (from more than 8000 community before war).

"arta, kosovo-usa... why not for once try to provide an EXAMPLE of how rights of non-albanians are BEING respected [...] instead of going on with your off-tangent, ad hominem attacks that nobody here (in the right mind) takes seriously..."

-- You're asking too much from these two. That would require them to actually engage in critical thinking and actually come up with solutions, both of which would probably end up causing severe head trauma to both.

I have done it many times but my coments were not posted. I can provide with names and locations of K-Serbs walking freely in middle of Peja/Pec and entire Peja/Pec Region, which includes 5 Municipalities of: Peja, Gjakova, Decani, Istog and Klina.
But, I think I will skip writting since my coment will not be posted.

"well Balkan update, better to self-destruct than be destroyed by albanian "institutions"

that kind of suicide mentality is what pushing Serbia back... Please, you're making the same talk since the Turkish rule... what are you getting from it ? Turks, Austro-Hungarians, Albanians, Croats, Bosnians, EU... will you always blame someone (or use it as a excuse for not to work?) Please...

BalkanUpdate,

You are right. Time is not on the K-Serbs' side. Pentioners make up 45% of them. In 15-20 years there number will be very low.

Kosovo Serbs are on a self destructive path. Their attempt to isolate themselves from the rest of the society is not sustainable in the long run. Their young children do not have a future living in self isolation and they are rapidly leaving Kosovo. If this continues, there won't be very many of them in 20 years time. K. Serbs do not have the wherewithal to seriously challenge the Kosovo government. That's why the Kosovo gov can wait them out as long as necessary. Time is not their friend for the route they have chosen.

this declarations are just to unsettle the serbian public and to give the false "ministry" for Kosovo an artificial legitimation.Belgrade is spending much more to destabilize Kosovo and the whole region, than to invest in the understanding and economical development of the ehtnic groups in Kosovo.

That's your problem because north Serbs only want to work with Belgrade and not with Kosovo. If they vote in the elections it will be decentralization and all in Kosovo will live in peace. But understand goran why are you talkig about a problem that your goverment created ?

I see the resident Albanian voices are the first to respond with every story on B92. Anyway, this story is about Serbs in Kosovo, not Albanians - you have your overlords (EULEX, Feith, etc.) looking out for your interests - don't you think someone should look out for the Serbs' interests in Kosovo? And no, the Serbs cannot move freely in their own land, (KiM).

Yes, you should talk! But then first accept that Kosovo is a Serbian province. Then you can start from there!

If you breach law yourself you have no right to comment on others!

Kosovo is a Serbian province. That can change (see Slovakia) but only by mutual agreement!

“We are putting in a great deal of effort to recover their housing rights and improve security in cooperation with the international community,” he said.

When will Serbia pay for the 150,000 Albanian houses it burned? Or for the pensions it stole from K Albanians? Or for the money people had in the savings banks in Kosova?

how would you know that Phantom minister, since you are living in middle of Belgrade? while you were living in Kosova, I can assure you that your rights were not violated and you moved at will with no typo of concern for anything. Get off the horse.
