Bganon, Im saying that the SRS & SNS differ only on EU & the vocality of their nationalism. The SRS will make heavy demands to form a coalition to break Tadic, SNS will acquiesce & the current anti-coalition talk is just a smokescreen. Their spat was orchestrated & I can prove it.

highduke: 'SRS is still actually the most supported single party'

'SRS is almost at 10%'.

No offense but I can't debate with somebody who can't even get facts straight in his own head. If you are trying to say that SRS and SNS combined have more votes than DS and their satellites that is a matter of serious debate.

Let me be clear and give you a fact with no contradictions - DS is currently the most popular single party in Serbia (not SRS).

One year ago polls suggested SRS recorded popularity of some 38%. If you are suggesting it is good that SRS has gone down from 38 to 10 in the space of a year then clearly you think it is good to lose support - when the entire electoral system is based on increasing support.

Bganon, the SRS is still actually the most supported single party except the elite has let go of the moderates so that both can operate on 2 fronts & attract more moderates, policies always change 180 degrees in Serbian politics, just ask Dodik, DS & SPS. 2nd DSS is fighting to pass the cenzus, SRS is almost at 10% & consider how much power SPS has with just half that. number. Be realistic. I left my email if you can handle a real debate.

highduke the voting character of the SRS voter is male, over 40 and usually from the villages.

Thats what analysts say and its also the impression one gets whenever one see's their election rallies.

The youth that vote for them are the sons and daughters of SRS voters. Nobody in their right mind could actually vote for that party, without intense family 'programing'.

And 'even beating out Kostunica'. Come on! One year ago SRS was the most supported single party in Serbia - in polls at least. Now they are competing with Kostunica for third and fourth place.

No, the best part of SRS has left and I can't tell you how disgusted many people are by the rabble that remains. SNS supporters who left the party reluctantly are glad to have left the party behind and I don't blame them. They don't rule out political cooperation with them in the future though, although Seselj has a problem. In fact its exactly the same problem Kostunica has with Nikolic - Nikolic is leader of the opposition in Serbia now. They are going to have to get used to it.

Where have you been bganon? In latest polls reported by B92 the SRS is the 3rd most popular party even beating out Kostunica. Seselj has always promoted women & youth more than any other party throughout the 90s.

Its a bit late now, changing after the political horse has bolted.

Suddenly Seselj has realised that SNS has indeed taken their votes and this cosmetic change is an attempt to bring them back.

I will say one thing for them though Marina Ragus is a capable and attractive politician.

On the other hand if you decease the blowhard rhetoric diehard loyalists may not bother coming out to vote.

Its difficult for Seselj but he created this mess in the first place by essentially kicking out Nikolic and Vucic and refusing modernisation.
