I would love to believe Obama's vision but i don't think any country that posseses nuclear weapons will get rid of their stock because it brings power which can be used to dictate others. The nuclear club is a hypocrite club who are quick to denounce any country wanting to join them as it gatecrashes their power.

However, the most important achievement in Obama's speech is the fact that he brought the world together to deal with issues that are facing us.

I know Afganistan,Guatanamo and Iraq are still there but the critics should not forget
the agressiveness and destruction the Bush administration had brought about in the world.

Among its goals, the resolution aims to strengthen the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), to keep nuclear materials out the hands of terrorists, and to ensure the development of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes

Bravo, that's the way to go forward... hoping that this promiss will not only remain empty words!
