To the Albanians and other anti Serbs here I have a question.

Is there anything, anything at all you can find that is OK with Serbs? No matter what topic we discuss here you are all out bashing the Serbs over and over. It seem to me that Serbs cannot do one thig right.
Am I right?

A report in the Columbia newspaper on Tadic' speech: http://www.columbiaspectator.com/2009/09/22/tadic-pragmatism-over-ideals

The usual American problem with geography is apparent - the "Baltic peninsula" really hasn't been causing anybody any worries lately.

It doesn't sound from this article as though he enjoyed an especially warm reception, even from Serbian students who attended.

"Tadic is not in denial -- so far he has been the only leader to apologize for crimes committed during the Balkan wars...how quickly people forget."

"For all the evil that everyone suffered here, we apologize," - Svetozar Marovic, first president of Serbia and Montenegro. So, I guess that doesn't qualify somehow as a leadership apology, right? Perhaps then you're in denial, either way Marovic apologized nearly a full year before Tadic ever said anything within this context. When he did, he made sure to bring up non-substantiated allegations about crimes committed against Serbs, which were then pursued by the international community, but rightly so never found anyone guilty on the Bosniak side. So he's not in denial, eh?

"Is it possible that B92's censorship shows a higher moral ground than the president who is perhaps in denial about what happened during the war in the 90's?"

I'm wondering why is the part of his speech where he says he expects Bosniak leaders to apologize for crimes committed against Serbs omitted from your report? Is it possible that B92's censorship shows a higher moral ground than the president who is perhaps in denial about what happened during the war in the 90's? Especially the fact that it wasn't the Bosniak Army that went into Serbia to kill, pillage, rape and in the end commit a genocide. Why does it seem like every time Serbia elects a new leader in the beginning it seems like people are ready to turn the chapter on aggression against it's neighbors, but shortly thereafter the real face of the elected leader comes out and not a pretty one either. Wow, initially I was surprised by the ability of the electoral power in Serbia to choose a leader unlike Milosevic, but now it is becoming clear, that that's still an impossible feat.

As the President of a free and democratic Serbia, I am honored to appear here for another reason as well.

Just one line of Tadic's speach.
He forgat to mention that; there is no freedom of speach and no freedom of expresion. Just like the last peacefull march.
Who ever is Tadic;s speach writter should be jailed for life. Tadic's speach was the joke of the century. I can't beleive he has not been impeached yet by the parlament!

"I especially like the focus he puts on Serbia's willingness to resolve such a potentially explosive issue by means of the courts. This is an example that many much more aggresive nations could do well to follow.
(UK, 23 September 2009 16:37) "

The problem is that when the court decides that Independence is not illegal, Tadic will disagree with them. The reason they went through the court is to buy time.

"Stay on topic Mr. Tadic! This Kosovo topic is taking too much energey and effort out of this Serb Government, and very little effort is being made to resolve Serbias other mounting issues."

Visar, I would assume that many people may take the view that dealing with the "Kosovo topic" is and should be one of the current government's highest priorities in the same way that any other country in the world would deem the topic of protecting it's borders as being of paramount importance. For my part I am impressed by the way Tadic expresses himself and the positive impression I feel he portrays of Serbia. I especially like the focus he puts on Serbia's willingness to resolve such a potentially explosive issue by means of the courts. This is an example that many much more aggresive nations could do well to follow.

First, thank you for the link.
Second, would you care to elaborate what is it exactly that you find 'confused and confusing' in President Tadic’s address, as I had no problem understanding it?

Tadic isn't a good leader. Serbs should vote him out at the next election.

This visit won't do any good for Serbia or change U.S. policy.

An interesting account of Mr. Tadic's lecture:
"President Boris Tadić said that the U.S.’s hold for Serbia’s dweller forthcoming could support move a newborn U.S. contract towards Srbija and the region.

In a style to students and professors at river University yesterday, Tadić said that the outcome of the orbicular change in planetary relations would roil downbound to whether the planetary accord was primed to begin earnestly applying the basic principles of the UN Charter".
