Serbia doesnt need the EU,we are already a part of Europe.THe nazis had the same idea as the EU only they called it the EEC.Ckeck it out.Tadic can say and sign what he wants but it it the people who will decide,just as in WW2 when the non agrression pact was signed and the people rose-up and said "bolje rat nego pact"or "bolje grob nego rob" that is what differentiates Serbians from EVERYONE else.God bless Serbia.

The president told Rehn that Serbia had no alternative to the process of European integration and that any other option was unsustainable. Serbia seems so desperate to hitch up to Brussels to be married and be told what to do and how to do it. It don't bode well for Serbia to be so desperate like it will solve any of its problems most likely it will make them worse.

Just once I would like Tadic to explain how and why he came to this assumption which I might add is grossly mistaken. Unsustainable? In what sense? The EU is not (in theory anyway) a welfare centre where the average member lines up for their ration of the day.

What does it take to be a statesman? Vision, leadership, openmindedness, determination.
Mr. Tadić's vision of Serbia is that of a system which doesn's exist anywhere in the world. His leadership is progressively shrinking to his own entourage. Open mindedness is in very short supply in Serbia's political elites - Boris Tadić is at their helm. Finally, his determination to stay in power is admirable.
