Ambassador: No change in Dutch position

The arrest of Hague indictee Ratko Mladic would be genuine proof of Serbia's full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, says Dutch Ambassador Ron Van Dartel.

Are you serious??

Should I start at the beginning, with the western media calling serbs the butchers of the balkans (even though in every other major conflict we were hailed the heroes who sacrificed so much for freedom and their allies)?? those same allies were the ones that provided equipment and intel for a more efficient 'cleansing' of croatia... the same ones that prevented our soccer and basketball teams to participate in events during the 90's... the same allies that imposed heavy sanctions which grinded out economic development to a halt... the same allies that 5 years started training albanian insurgents in kosovo and later bombed serbia relentlessly for 78 days... the same allies that have increased cancer and birth deformity rates in serbia by over 100%?? the same allies that meddle in serbia's elections and internal affairs... the same ones who will not be satisfied until we are in the eu, powerless and cultureless...

so that my friend, is how serbia has been punished and how they will continue to punish her....

Wow, the West does hate Serbia a lot.

Why are you guys even trying to apply for EU? I suggest you speak up and stop your gov't efforts for EU integration. Reinforce relations with Russia, China and Brazil. JMHO

it's always hilarious to see people thanking the dutch for their "courageous" and "principled" stance even though their hypocrisy should be obvious even from the outer space. come on, people, you can't hate serbia that much. the same goes for those who don't see how serbia is being punished or has been punished so far. though, to be fair, real justice would only be possible in a world without hypocrisy, but then serbia is not the only country to navigate in these waters.

Thank you to the netherlands, for sticking to your guns, and demanding the most basic cooperation with the hague.

i seldom speak about maldic anymore, because it so deeply insults the victims, and plays into the gaming of the blgd regime. they know exactly what the situation is, who has coddled him for years, who continues to do so.

and since we were promised mladic by the end of the year, starting the very first day of the new year we must reinvigorate a loud and clear campaign demanding that the regime does as promised.

but personally i find the whole matter to be disgusting and unforgivable.

So when are these righteous hypocrites going to demand full cooperation from Croatia?
They still haven't supplied the documents whcih were asked to be handed over to Hague.

it is because dutch do know what is the value of serbian word and how much you respect it ,that they insist on having mladic before! They can not forget that they trusted the parole of serbian military assuring them that civilians will not be killed!

WHAT? What HAPPENED in Srebrenica??

2 (TWO), VRS companies (~200 soldiers, with maybe 3 or 4 tanks) took Srebrenica in retaliation for several attacks on surrounding villages (attacks coming from a supposed 'safe-zone'). everyone knew the serbs were doing this, infact buses were provided for any civilian that wanted to leave (and many people did) until it was over. this was war, obviously innocent people were killed, but those who stayed to fight, stayed on their own accord.
Those who left on the buses are still alive today. Now, they say that it was 8000+ people that died... 8000+... that's an interesting number to say the least considering the entire town's polulation was never more than 5000 people. On top of that, the dutch had 400+ soldiers in srebrenica... so we are expected to believe that 200 serb soldiers killed 8000 people in 1 day, while being strafed by the dutch and nato f16's?? c'mon... this isn't hollywood.

Idiot Dutch stance! Instead of working on paralel ways to ensure the arrest of Mladic AND to ensure a good economic cooperation they stick to their old point as so to hide their own guilt to what happened in Srebenica. A shame for world politics. Maybe better time for the Dutch to take care of their own politics where the extreme right wing party (PVV) has in the polls the majority of votes.

I applaud the Netherlands's strong moral stance on this issue. It is completely unacceptable that Serbia is aiding and abetting a known war criminal accused of being the main orchestrator of the Sreberenica Genocide. Serbia has a legal and moral obligation to arrest and extradite Mladic and it's continued refusal to do so only signals that the fascists in Serbia are still strong and have a great influence in the politics of that country. A fascist Serbia is a dangerous Serbia and the EU certainly has no business dealing with regimes that aid genocidal war criminals.

All because the Dutch don't want to be blamed for harboring a criminal in Srebrinica under their 'protection' and for not being able to do anything.
