Peggy – I would have thought my views, as seen from previous postings, are clear on who Kosovo belongs to – no doubt in my mind whatsoever – Serbia.
(Clive UK, 13 September 2009 16:18)

I do know your views from pervious posts but these questions are very important and they need to be answered by everyone not just you or I.

Until people are confronted by these questions and being forced to answer them honestly, there cannot be any hope for peace there for just wishing it will not make it so.

Peace and justice go hand in hand and clearly there will never be justice as long as Albanians think they are in charge.
One more last question. How do we change this unjust situation? There is no easy answer here.

Peggy - sorry I did not answer asll of your post. The reason the Albanians continue to persecute is simply because they can. Without any real checks or balances the strong will always victimise the weak.

Your children and grand children really deserve better from you all. Now I will put my body armour on and take shelter.
(Clive UK, 13 September 2009 08:31)

No need to take shelter. I think we all agree on that one. May I ask something?

Now that Kosovo thinks they gained independence why are they still persecuring the non Albanians there?
What was this independence all about then? They think they have a country so why continue to persecute?

Who do you think should Kosovo belong to? Serbia or Albania? I know that Albania has not gained Kosovo directly, but indirectly they have it now.

Until these questions are settled there cannot be peace as much as we would all like.

Yes, people do deserve peace but on whose terms?
I see this written so often. People of Kosovo deserve peace and we should work towards it. Since we all agree on that, the question then becomes on whose terms?
Since both Serbia and Albanians claim ownership who do you suggest should have it?

Please do answer this as without these answers yours and our good wishes will remain just that.

Those who have seen any of my previous postings will know I am no Albanian apologist. However, it is well documented that the Serbs and K Albanians did some pretty awful stuff to each other. I am amazed by two things in this sorry and sad tale – 1) That the KPS (allegedly on instructions) turned back a group who merely wished to pay their respects at this event and 2) that the Orthodox Church continues to make political statements that are designed to upset everybody except far right Serb Nationalists. The wounds will take a long, long time to heal. But it will need some brave souls on both sides to come up with a novel solution. I am reminded of the contribution the Women’s Peace Movement made in Northern Ireland where like minded women on both sides of the religious and political divide said enough was enough. It really is time for both sides to settle their differences with or without independence or autonomy. Your children and grand children really deserve better from you all. Now I will put my body armour on and take shelter.

A representative of the Association of the Families of the Missing and Kidnapped, Negovan Mavrić, told Beta news agency that 84 Serbs, Romas, Ashkalis and Egyptians were kidnapped in the Velika Hoča region. - It does not say anything about all victims being remembered by a cross - learn to read, ben, or stop trying to put your own spin on stories.

Thank you ben for sharing your compassion for the families of the missing, murdered victims of the Kosovo war, regardless of ethnicity. Your shinning example of humanity will certainly contribute to multi-ethnic harmony for the future generations in the Balkans.

"But I am sory it's not true: you are the butchers of Vukovar, Sarajevo, Srebrenica, Kosova not other way around.
(ben, 12 September 2009 14:24)"

Then you either have never lived in Kosovo, or you're applying that patented Albanian revisionism your group is collectively known for.

Stop politicizing the dead and realize that everyone at some point in the 1990s victimized everyone else. Doing so doesn't minimize one's own losses, but contributes to an understanding of shared suffering. We're forced to swallow your sob stories of every Albanian man, woman, and child victimized, yet you brush off every story of other people victimized by Albanians. You claimed not too long ago that you're for "democracy" on this site. Start practicing what you preach, ben. You don't own a monopoly on victimization. And you certainly don't own a monopoly on innocense.

I truly hope that all of the families of the missing can eventually bury their dead. To not be able to know the fate of someone you love would be appalling. To not to be able to grieve & pray over them, incredibly sad.

May they all, irrespective of nationality, be found.. and may their families finally have peace.

i know that i should always divide by ten when hearing figures from the albanians. weren't the original figures of kosovars missing from the albanian delegation somewhere near the 100,000 mark. wow, were they wrong. most numbers put it nearer the 10,000 mark. YUP divide by ten me EU citizens. the albanian math program is a little weak.
oh course, don't expect weak math skills if you're bying a ki, then they're very good and accurate...

"84 Serbs, Romas, Ashkalis and Egyptians were kidnapped in the Velika Hoča region."

Rule n. 1. never forget to divide by 2 all numbers provided by Serbia

Rule n. 2. read carefully everything comes from Serbia: Egyptians, Ashkalis, Romas are muslim and they are "remembered" with orthodox cross. Actually they are needed for the number to be inflated.

Rule n. 3. Never trust Serbia even when it brings gifts.

All victims deserve to be remembered but the manipulation of this issiue that Serbs are doing (see above just as one example) is simply disgusting.

It is old and known Serbian attititude to depict all sides in Yugo wars as "we are all crasy down there". But I am sory it's not true: you are the butchers of Vukovar, Sarajevo, Srebrenica, Kosova not other way around.
