Jat Airways looks at losses this year

Why would the aviation bodies become politicised? Are London, Paris and New York going to refuse landings from Belgrade if JAT refuses to overlook its country's legal sovereignty of Kosovo? I don't think so.

Are you baggage handlers drinking more than tea or coffee on your break? That would explain the lost luggage!

I also heard that if Serbia does not recognize Kosovo then they will be forbidden from importing bananas from all the banana-producing countries that recognize Kosovo. In addition, my friend in the airline industry told me that JAT will not allow passengers eating bananas or products containing bananas on its transatlantic flights as retaliation! Boy are those Serbs going to get it now!

I love bananas Jason and if JAT will not be serving them I am sorry but I will never set foot in any of its airplanes.Maybe we should just stick to the Hooters airline if it flies to Europe.

I happen to be employed by on the main bodies of world aviation and I got some very bad news for the Serbs concerning their beloved national carrier JAT. The government of Serbia has been told if they wanted to resume transatlantic flights, first they have to exclude Kosovo from its territory/map otherwise keep on flying to Cyprus, Moscow and Tivat.
I just thought I'd share this with you guys.

I got the same news and the initiator of that idea is SU (Aeroflot), CA (CAAC, Chinese Civil Aviation Authority) and SQ (Singapore Airlines). Air India seem to back it as well.

In order to keep their transatlantic and transpacific routes, imminent recognition of Quetzalcoatlistan by Russia, China, Singapore and India is imminent.

Ultimately, it is dictated by the economy. They read B92 and realized, the sheer number of eTrolls is a large enough customer group to reconsider.

In that form there is a grain of truth in #9. Indeed, JAT is not allowed to USA for a bogus reason. Whether there is a political will to "unlock" the situation on both sides is a question. Here the inept management of JAT is as much to blame as certain US government agencies (don't remember precisely which ones). I am sure, JAT's partners could provide certain pressure and in today's economic the carrots JAT could offer to certain US airlines (= landing rights) would be a good bargain topic. But sorry, since I am living in Europe now my interest to that topic somewhat vanished. Besides, I hate to fly anyway.

Again, I am dead honest I work for a certain company and I was shocked to find out that JAT is prohibited to fly to North America due to territory claims over Kosovo by Serbia. (Please don't give me that nonsense 1244 as I am only passing this info. besides these guys don't care about 1244. Kosovo is recognized by its government therefore keep 1244 to yourself).Apparently the Serbian government knows that very well. You guys go right ahead and turn this into whatever you want, nevertheless, this is the truth. Perhaps, just inquire within JAT yourself.

Monkey business. some corrupt party or another gives some guy the job, he thinks up excuses why business is bad in jat. not his fault. newspapers let him whine because they are also working for corrupt parties. now what happens? trolls strike with bananas and other nonsense. I read comments and i'm none the wiser or even more informed or heck more entertained. Except maybe for this aviator guy.

Its your thing living in a legendary world, my friend! I on the other hand live in the real world where I see things in colour. I couldnt care less if you beleive me or not. the truth of the matter is that JAT doesn't fly to North America due to the issues I mentioned on the above comment, Kosovo is an independent country, Milosevic is dead, Tadic is a smart dude trying to put his country in the right path towards peace and prosperity (Where it should be anyways), Yugoslavia doesnt exist anymore and finally JNA is not the same "might"(Killing machine of innocent people) it used to be.
