Roma live in N.Mitro for many reason but not becaue of Albanians.

(Olf, 11 September 2009 21:27)

Patently false. I still doubt very much Olf is an international because it is pretty obvious he has no idea of what he speaks regarding minorities in Kosovo.

Tell us, Olf, what are the many reasons that hundreds of Roma moved from south to north of the Ibar??? Even a very elementary look at the history of Kosovo will clearly show the Albanian-caused destruction of the Roma areas in South Mitrovica. I suggest you do a little research before posting blatantly false information.

Thank you,

I have been working with minorities in KS for many years now, and not you but none can tell me about them.
Roma live in N.Mitro for many reason but not becaue of Albanians. By the way, how do Roma live in Serbia?I tell you, no better than in KS.
(Olf, 11 September 2009 21:27)

Oh Olf, Albanians are precisely the reason that Roma don't return to their homes. Who are you trying to kid here?

I have watched a documentary about the Roma of Kosovo here in Austrlia. They have interviewed the Roma and have shown exactly how they live and why.
Mind you this is here in Australia. A country which has recognised Kosovo two days after US did and which has been very biased against the Serbs during the entire Yugoslav wars.
You certainly cannot call Australia a country which peddles Serbian propaganda and yet this was shown here.

How do you explain that?

In Kosova there are other minorities that live normal life and are well integrated into new Kosova reality.
Non Serbs in N.Kosovo have their lifes endagered by Serb extremists.
(Olf, 11 September 2009 13:20)

I guess Olf lives in a different Kosovo from the Roma, Serbs, Ashkali and Gorani that have been run out of many parts of Kosovo and take refuge north of the Ibar. Had he actually been to all the places in Kosovo he says he has, he would have met them. Oh yes, the minority groups here are doing "just fine."

As for Smulan, clearly he has never been to Russia. Aside from the problems in the Caucasus, there are many, many different ethnic and religious groups that do just fine in Russia, so in that regard Russia is decades ahead of Kosovo.

what about Georgians in Abkhazia (who used to constitute the majority of the population before the Russian intervention in the 90' ) ??

Wich international organisation is in the two separatist Georgian republics to control what's going on there ? Are journalists allowed to go everywhere in Abkhazia and Ossetia ??

Journalists can go everywhere in Kosovo and a lot of international organisations are present there ... So Russia mind your own business.

Russia should speak of its hypocrisies in Abakazia and in Ossetia and kicking out the UN and European missions out of two of those places. Also of 10s of thousands of Georgians ethnically cleansed from their own country regions on Russia's watch and approval. Also of Russia's occupation of Georgian internationally recognized territory.

You are probably not talking about the roma refugees in Kosovska Mitrovica who would rather be slowly poisoned by lead contamination & live amongst those 'extremist serbs' rather than move back to their homes amongst their former K-albanian neighbours.

But then that's not what you meant by 'Non Serbs in N.Kosovo' is it.

And curious how whenever serbs are attacked in the north where they are a majority, it always seems to be by a pack of local K-albanians. Is this what you mean by being 'well integrated' in the new 'Kosova reality'?

Doubtless those two serb KPS officers that were attacked last year by a busload of K-albanians in the north were also 'serb extremists'.

This circus still has claws however -- it can nuke "Kosova" back to the stone age if it wants. Meantime it just let its veto at the UN do the talking.

Actually I think the OSCE mission should indeed go ahead to close down. After all it has largely failed to protect the K-minorities all this while. Why waste more and more money keeping afloat such an impotent mission? This is one circus all of us can really do without.

Smulan,

Russia's interests are purely Serb related and nothing else. The Russian military needs to police the Kosovo territory so that the Provincial Serb minority can return and live in a safehaven.

You are right when you say that Serbia's Kosovo Albanians are a minority in the country of Serbia.

Also, no past and current foreign intervention should ever have taken place. All foreigners should leave and let Serbia take care of business.

because

Kosovo is Serbian and so are the people.
(Another Canadian Serb, 11 September 2009 12:30)

How soon you forgat that Russia had soldiers on the ground from day one when NATO moved in and they were unable to feed 250 soldiers and pulled back.

As for OSCE Mission, Russia was the first one when Kosova declared Independence that asked to close OSCE mission. Now, all of sudden change of mind but I am all for ot for OSCE tp pack up its bags and go home. They are doing nothing for minorities or majorities. They are just filling their pockets with euros and having lots of fun.

Russia, you have nothing to do with Kosovo. Minoritys in Kosovo has much more rights than minorys in Russia. So OSCE should be in Russia insteed to serve the rights of the minoritys there.

And we Kosovo albanians doesn't need Russia and want nothing to do with her as long as she approche this destructive policy towards Europes latest independent country. If you are concerned about minority rights in Kosovo than call a meeting with the goverment in Prishtina to talk about the problems.

But in the end you are not a force that can cause problems in Kosovo. Kosovo in difference from Russia is a real deomctratic country and solve it's problems democraticlly..
