hahah! Mike
i admire you for your patience to try to make something out of what our albanian "friends" are commenting in this site.
seems that our albanian "friends" are trying to persuade us every time that Kosovo is a paradise where peace and love reigns and for everything bad the serbs are to blame. time to wake up my fellow albanians! Nobody is buying that anymore, not even the people who helped you

Peggy,
Where are you writing from as you speak of selfish Serbs wanting to get into EU?
The sacrifice of others is never too big of a request is it?

Milan

pre 14 godina

If we bo back 20-30 years the number of Serbs that had to flee Kosovo due to Albanian intimidation and threats the number is close to 7-800.000 thousand.
I'm glad that Serbs are resisting and fighting back rather then packing up and leaving.
(MikeC, 7 September 2009 22:01)

Sorry - but in Serbia is not USA propaganda ("half milion ethnic Albanians killed by Yugoslav forces"). There is not liers like George Bush ("we have good evidence that Saddam have chemical weapon" - 2003).

Maybe You thinking that Serbian press is similar to USA propaganda press.

K-Serbs are right. Tadic is NOT working in their interest but by the time he is gone it will be too late.

If the Serbs are going to do anything, it has to be now or Kosovo is well and truly gone.
Our descendants are never going to forgive us for not looking after them and rightly so.
Serbia has a choice. Get rid of Tadic and leave a legacy for your great grandchildren or be cursed by them.
Something tells me that there are too many selfish Serbs in Serbia who are only concertned in getting into EU at any cost.

Mike

Well as much as I sympathize with the Serbian side, I somehow doubt a few Albanian houses here and there north of the Ibar is going to tip the demographic balance towards Pristina. If anything, these Albanians are either incredibly brave to be living in what amounts to Virtual Serbia, or some of the stupidest people in Southeastern Europe who are trying to play Settlers of Cattan in real life. Whatever their reason, they'll happily add to the multiethnic character that is Srpska Mitrovica, as opposed to the homogenous Albanska Mitrovica in the south.

And now, for some fun addressing our favorite Neo-Illyrians:

"LIES LIES LIES.
(KOSOVARi, 7 September 2009 21:10)"

-- Um, did somebody say something to make you upset? Oh right, it might have been the objective truth.

"Now we are starting to see signs of dissatisfaction from K. Serbs regarding Belgrade and more are inclined to vote come local elections in Kosovo.
(Ptoleme, 7 September 2009 21:14)"

-- Don't flatter yourself. They may have misgivings about Belgrade, but the worst Serb politician in Belgrade is still better than the best Albanian politician in Pristina to them. Don't expect them to be humming the wordless anthem of Kosovo anytime soon.

"I feel for these poore people, but at same time uneducated people could be fooled by anyone.
(Kosova-USA, 7 September 2009 21:57)"

-- I agree with that every time I read a comment of yours.

"These protesters are right. Vetevendosja(KAN) is playing Serbs on every turn they make. They have been had , but Jason(Friday THE 13tH) doesn't know that just yet.
(Kosova-USA, 7 September 2009 22:04)"

-- Oh boy, a double-whammy from our Neo-Illyrian expert. Somehow I doubt Kurti has anything to do with Srpska Mitrovica, or anything outside his apartment in Pristina. But if I could actually understand what you write every so often, I might be able to discern an argument here (but that would negate my comment just above).

Some seem to be quite selective in which lies they choose to believe. Imaginary indeed!

As posted back on the IDP thread:

According to the Serbia page of the UNHCR:

http://www.unhcr.org/pages/49e48d9f6.html

Originating from Serbia (as of jan 2009) are:

225,879 IDPs
185,935 refugees

An IDP is not a refugee as a refugee is not an IDP, in case anyone thinks this is double counting.

Even without knowing the breakdown of IDPs, we can easily fit in to this total 200k+ serbs & 150k roma ethincally cleansed from Kosovo by the KLA and friends. Note again, these figures are 'originating in Serbia'.

As per usual, the roma are ignored, particularly by the kosovo albanians.

Kosovo, Back(wards) to the Future!

Keep resisting my fellow Serbian citizens. Tadic is weak and limp but the tide is turning. The West has a habit of messing up everything it touches.

Kosova-USA

They demanded that President Boris Tadić withdraw the consent given for the deployment of the EU mission, EULEX, in the province.

The protesters, who gathered in the rain, claimed that the mission works in the interest of ethnic Albanians, and cited the building of their houses in the flashpoint settlement of Brđani.

They also said that protests in there would continue.

These protesters are right. Vetevendosja(KAN) is playing Serbs on every turn they make. They have been had , but Jason(Friday THE 13tH) doesn't know that just yet.

Yet another example of how Kosovo can never have a peaceful, multiethnic society under Albanian control. Not content with their attempt at stealing 15% of Serbia’s sovereign territory, Albanians now want to infiltrate indigenous Serb majority areas and finish off their ethnic cleansing campaign. It’s time Belgrade started to give some meaningful support to its citizens in this part of Serbia.

Ptoleme

It was actually barely 100 protesters.

Now we are starting to see signs of dissatisfaction from K. Serbs regarding Belgrade and more are inclined to vote come local elections in Kosovo.

Actually is turning to a big joke. If Belgrade tells K-sERBS THAT donkey flies, they all will say YEEEEEEEE.
I feel for these poore people, but at same time uneducated people could be fooled by anyone.

The Brdani Serbs are all there. As are most of the Serbs in Kosovo.

But they are all upset because of the imaginary 250,000 Serbs who apparently left and are not coming back.
