aRTE 62 out of over 190 member states, hardly a glowing recommendation is it? I live in the UK and for you to think that all of the UK agree with the short sighted and US controlled government here would be a mistake on your part. I would guess that the large majority of the general public either know nothing about Kosovo or have been fooled into believing the crass media lies that they are fed here. The same is probably true in many of the other countries who have apparantly accepted the UDI. I am sure there would be even less acceptance if these so called democratically driven politicians actually asked the voters by way of referendum. Do not kid yourself into believing that the support for Kosovo is anything more than a politically driven facade to allow such things as Camp Bondsteel to exist and to allow the justification of such things as the NATO bombing of Belgrade. Try asking the UK government how they feel about the IRA and Northern Ireland before you believe anything they may try to tell you about the KLA and Kosovo. I would be interested to hear the views of anyone else who is in the UK watching the events of Kosovo.

Sorry Albanians, the West is getting weaker by the day. The promises the war criminals in the KLA received from America in 1998, is over. The US is now too involved in Afganistan and Iraq, to be concerned with outlaws in Pristina. Albanians will soon find themselves on their own - which means, alone.

Even if the vote is yes and this is a big if there is still a question of Holland.

Vuk, I had more respect for you before you stated this nonsense. Stop morphing into Tadic. It's not a good look. Tadic lies all the time and don't let him drag you down as well.

Give up this ridiculous idea of EU and concentrate on more important things. The way things are going there there will be no EU any more. It'll be free for all again. A very bad future is forecast for all unless you get backing of the right people, but for that your government has to stop licking the wrong boots.

I also will be casting a no vote in the Irish referendum as the Lisbon Treaty will not benefit current and future small member states (like Ireland and Serbia). The prospect of that war criminal, Tony Blair, being selected as EU President should be enough to make any right-thinking person vote no.

So the Western powers deceide? Hmm, strange. Fortunately the UN deceides. If you want to change 1244 do so. But in the meantime obey 1244.

And if the Western powers deceide that Bosnia must be split that is OK to?

Northern Kosovo?
Northern Cyprus?

Yes, yes and yes.

Five more yes-s if you wish for other cases (including the valley) that you haven't mention yet.

aRTA is right. West is the power and the future.

"Asked about press speculation that President Boris Tadić had promised his dismissal to foreign diplomats, Jeremić replied that “the president certainly did not make any such promises to foreign diplomats.“ "

How do you know that Jeremic? Tadic has enough political acumen to understand that what Jeremic is doing is harmful to Serbia itself. He has buddied up with the worst governments in the world and makes grandiose and amateurish pronouncement in just about daily bases. Vuk Jeremic, a.ka.a "Baghdad Bob", will not be Serbia's FM for too long. Serbia needs a more mature and a serious FM who is able to comprehend the intricacies of world politics.

People should know that the latest opinion poll published in Ireland today shows that support for the Lisbon Treaty is falling fast. With one month to go, the support for a Yes vote is actually lower than it was a month before the first referendum. There is now a distinct possibility that the Irish will vote No again. I, for one, will be doing so.

The Union has become increasingly undemocratic and bureaucratic over the years. Another Irish No would present an opportunity for a root-and-branch reform. Then it might become an institution that the Serbian people would want to join.

" It will become clear that attempts to impose independence have failed and that a new path towards a lasting and sustainable solution needs to be found,“

Actually it has clear that YOU have failed. 62 states have recognized us among others US, France, Germany, UK, Japan, Canada etc etc. For the rest we can wait. You cannot put the genie back in the bottle, the Western countries decided and they aren't about to let the area slide in chaos again.

Serbia should have asked for partition before independence.
