I have rarely heard any foreigner coming back and not wanting to visit Serbia again!
Serbia has a lot to catch up but it looks that it is on the right track!
And when it comes to the organization of concerts, we can only dream about it in Switzerland!

Ha ha ha! Dear Pyrros. Do you know where Kosovo-usa lives? In Kosovo, so of course Novi Sad is better.

"Why would 1.2 mil come to visit serbia, whats to see there?

The apparent opposite of your stereotypes and prejudices.

Kosovo USA: "Why would 1.2 mil come to visit serbia, whats to see there?"

Do I sense sour grapes? What an ignorant statement.

Beautiful national parks, friendly and hospitable people, fabulous rivers and gorges, beautiful mountains, heritage sites unlike anywhere else and great monasteries and churches... oh, and very nice food, music, art...

Plenty to see... I would suspect tourist numbers have been down because of the heat (temp not political) and speaking as a Brit lots of people are staying at home due to the EURO v pound.

I would recommend a visit to Serbia anytime. The only thing I hate is the state of the roads - that really should be a priority!!

I am available to help anytime on the tourism PR front and it will all be heartfelt...

Good news! Serbia is getting better and better every year. This summer we went to Zlatibor/Morka Gora/Visegrad. Needless to say, after this, Switzerland seems like
Serbia/Bosnia
+ some extra luxury
- the soul of ex-yu

i'd take ex-yu any time of the year.

PS

I am sure that half of that is serbian citizens that live abroad and hold duel citizenship, but they counted as tourists.
