I find it extremely difficult to fathom why it is that the news' media don't understand that one of the main roles of the ICO / EULEX set up is to discourage the return of Internally displaced people to Kosovo i Metohija.
If EULEX won't provide protection for Serb returnees, then why isn't the "Kosovo goverment"? They claim to be a multiethnic society so why don't they provide protection for Serbs as well?
To any objective observer it looks like the Albanians and the EU and US are only interested in keeping Serbs out of the province. they have no intention of letting them back in.
These are empty words from an empty man seeking political sound bites. Sounds a bit like Tony Bliar! Any right minded person who has worked in Kosovo knows full well that UNMIK is and was totally biased towards the Albanian side. The Serbs have always been the bad guys. Sure some were but the majority were not and the children in any event should not have the sins of the fathers visited upon them. When I return to Kosova and am able to see Orthodox Churches and other holy places rebuild and cemeteries restored and true freedom of movement for Serbs then all will be well. However, the Albanians have no intention of allowing this and hollow words from the UN will not change this.
