"Thank you for the kind history lessons from Serbs and Albanians alike. I will rush into the library today and get a book on WW2. I will skip right at the main chapter: "How Serbia saved the world". I will also tear apart the section on how Russia and Germany split Poland and Eastern Europe between each other as simply western propaganda. Did you know that Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact never existed?

I hope this makes everyone happy and some souls in here will find peace, learning that finally miri got it right.

Peace to all!!

Answer: Well, dearest miri. Not that Serbia necessarily saved the World, though that is a just suggestion, but fact that more then 2 million Serbs have lost their lifes in the Wars of XX th century does not allow us to listen to the ridiculous bubbling of western propaganda history.

And after you complete 1000 pages chapter on "How Serbia saved the World"...skip few...and jump into the
chapter "How USA(and Brits) bombed the World to the death and lost most of their Wars on the ground".
Also good piece of reading and to all.

Dear miri, kindly get hold of an elementary history book. I have no idea why you believe such things, still less why you would want to. Even if it was right - and it is nowhere near that - what is the point (and this applies to both sides) of trying to project the sides that great powers currently take on certain issues back into unrelated conflicts in the past?

Americans fought mainly in the Pacific. Their contribution to Europe was minimal.

It was the Russians who liberated Auschwitz NOT the Americans or Brits, even though they flew over without doing anything.

It was the Russians who delivered the fatal blow to the Nazis.

Operation Barbarossa started on June 22nd, 1941...so, late in the summer, being postponed due to the heroic refusal of the people of Belgrade and Serbia on the streets, on March, 27th 1941, when we popularly rejected pact with Nazi Germany. Answer: The essence of the answer is that Serbia is following, by Poles required, diplomatic protocol for this commemoration which requires Prime Ministerial representation and Tadic is active in another, for Serbia relevant, diplomatic actions.
Staying in the same line, if the Poles have or would invited Tadic as well, he would certainly be there.

For today's commemoration of 70 years from the beginning of the WWII all the Countries invited are to be represented by their PM-Prime Ministers...example Putin, Merkel, Berlusconi as well as Serbia's Cvetkovic.

In contrary, as it appeares at the moment, only United Kingdom sent their Foreign Secretary David Miliband and USA their ex-Minister of Defense leaving for you to speculate why did they do so?

EU did her best in helping "democratic" forces in Serbia to win over Seseljes radicals.

"Democratic" forces of Serbia on other hand never miss the chance to prove EU that they, love, share, understand the EU values by visiting Tripoli and seating with Gheddafi who just asked that Israel is kicked out from Africa.

Considering above EU is very pleased by Serbian "democratic" forces and helps them by offering viza-liberalization so they could go in EU freely and share their understanding of democracy. Moreover, EU is pursuing this support for "democratic" forces of Serbia by undermining the sovereignty of a country that herself has recognized by 3/4.

Come on Ben, get the head out of the box, like Olf would say.
Just read the latest BBC news regarding the release of lockerbee guy and the reason behing the UK decision and then maybe some light will guide your comments, and also see what our stupid Swiss President did a few days ago by going to Lybia, you guys are simply too much Serbophobe and are missing what is really happening behing the scene!!

Anything that annoys the USA is good for the Serbs.
Boris, finally collected his guts and did something patriotic. Give it to the bullies, man. Beginning to appreciate the guy- honestly.
(May even appologize for all those nasty things I said about him, in the past)

Jee..., and I thought that it was Americans and British fighting the Nazis.

Either way Russians entered the war much later than the Americans.
(miri, 1 September 2009 21:30)

Miri, please pick up a history book.

Americans fought mainly in the Pacific. Their contribution to Europe was minimal.

It was the Russians who liberated Auschwitz NOT the Americans or Brits, even though they flew over without doing anything.

It was the Russians who delivered the fatal blow to the Nazis.

Did you read that from one of the Albanian language books about so called "history"?

Dear miri, kindly get hold of an elementary history book. I have no idea why you believe such things, still less why you would want to. Even if it was right - and it is nowhere near that - what is the point (and this applies to both sides) of trying to project the sides that great powers currently take on certain issues back into unrelated conflicts in the past?
