When speaking of atrocities in the former Yugoslavia, you must stay ethnic neutral. If you take one side, you are biased. Simple. Frisco, you are biased. If you could ever find it within yourself to feel that a Serbian life is equal to an Albanian one, you may start to feel the healing process within yourself. Serbs and Albanians will never learn to live together, but maybe they can one day tolerate each other as neighbors?

Roberto, you are a pro-Albanian. So, obviously your blogs are taken with a grain of salt. If you felt the same compassion for all victims, not as something placed at the end of your blog, maybe all parties could find a common ground. Albanians do not want a common ground. The only hope will be when Pristina's K_Albanian voices will say, "We did horrible things during the war too", that true healing can begin. In the mean time, Roberto, the Balkans are not the Bay Area, and your one-sided voice for reconciliation will go unheard. When the Albanians say "We are sorry for the atrocities committed against non-Albanian civilians in Kosovo", maybe the Balkans can move a step forward?

### svojgazda, will you demand the Serbian government re-open the search for Albanian bodies on the territory of Serbia proper, you know, the country where after the first 1000 Albanian bodies were found in refrigerator trucks and under police compounds, the search was called off (btw all you Djindjic admirers: his government called off the search in 2002). Given there are still double that number of Albanians missing.

My wishes that the families of all Serb, Croat, Albanian and Bosnian missing find some information and some peace.

Thank you, dimtuc, this is an issue near and dear to many of us and i really hate how it is politicized, with one ethnic group played off ag. another. at some point, it is ridiculous to speak of ethnicities of the dead -- they are HUMAN (remains) and deserve some respect, even if it is lacking from and for the living.

as for the 2002 mentioned date -- we were quite excited, if that is the correct word, to see how a democratizing govt under djindjic was coming to terms with the missing albanians, digging up, dredging up, exhuming from known and suspected sources. for that we were quite grateful, and it was a good sign. then boom -- it all stopped, cold turkey, for reasons we can only speculate, and as far as i know has never resumed.

i was told by a reliable source (yes, it is "hear-say") that there are some dozen other mass graves of albanian bodies scattered in serbia proper, and that djindjic was made aware of this and for whatever reasons put a (temporary) lid on things. so why is nothing STILL moving on this? one can only speculate.

despite all claims to the contrary, we are all human, share more than we differ, and have the right to be treated with a basic human dignity, esp.ly concerning the dead. if individual govt's refuse to accept responsibility in this regard, then we need to find ways to work around and through. and to demand change. that is for ALL victims: bosnian, serb, albanian, croatian, montenegran, whatever and whoever.

Ask the KLA leaders where the remaining missing bodies are. They killed their fellow Albanians that did not support them. The KLA was very good at hiding kidnapped and murdered Serbian bodies, what makes anyone think they didn't do the same with Albanian corpses.

Most of those missing in Kosovo are Albanians and Serbian authorities should answer as soon as possible where they are. Let me remind the Serbs that mass graves with Albanians have been found all over Serbia, most notabley in suburb Batajnica in Belgrade.

Until the Albanians stop impeding the search for missing, kidnapped, organ-harvested persons in Kosovo/Albania, there can not even be a thought of reconciliation. Ask the former KLA leaders, Thaci etal, where the bodies and organs are - of all ethnicities.
