WOW. This has hit a raw nerve. Must be painful for the Albanians to realise that EVERYONE tacitly recognises Serbia's sovereignty over Kosovo and as such deal direct with Serbia.

And to the Albos who say that UNMIK has left, well they haven't. yes, their numbers are greatly reduced, but they are still in charge as per UNSC resolution 1244. You just can't escape the fact that Kosovo is UN run entity. It'll only get worse when the ICJ rule in Serbia's favour, hence the desperation to gain many more recognitions. Those recognitions will be a waste of time though. They'll be blown out of the water after the ruling, advisory opinion or not. we'll just turn up the heat.

diaspora nationalists are usually the biggest, loudest, non-negotiable nationalists out there. They'll fight tooth and nail for a piece of land they don't live in and wouldn't live in.

Like all of the Serbs NOT living in Kosovo.

" Thachi and his Sejdiu both are FOR the protocol - because they were told to be. Of course publicly they will rant and rave about never accepting it, only to put on a good show for their constituents."

-- Of course. Anyone with common sense knows this. They also know and accept a number of other things they couldn't announce publicly for fear of losing their political legitimacy.

"I just figured Nelli, Arta, and Kosovo-USA would be able to see that. Guess I was wrong."

Nelli and Kosovo-USA are diaspora Albanians. Don't know where aRTA comes from (and don't really care), but diaspora nationalists are usually the biggest, loudest, non-negotiable nationalists out there. They'll fight tooth and nail for a piece of land they don't live in and wouldn't live in.

Bogdanovic is trying to put the Kosova leadership in "no win" situation by insisting for EULEX to sign the protocol. Serbia knows very well that Kosova's government is willing to sign the protocol and no one else can sign/decide on Kosova's behalf. The asnwer to Bogdanovic "concerns" are in http://www.b92.net/eng/news/comments.php?nav_id=61403

I have explained there what is all about. Serbia desperately needs a political victory. Its aim irritate/frustrate the Albanians in Kosova, give the extremists a good reason for a fight, Serbian victimisation cry and "good reason" to protect the "victimised" Serbian minority in Kosova.

"The real question is why Priština did not stand against criminal activity in Kosovo"

......Because they are leaders of organised crime.....everyone knows that.....and they also like jihad....especially when it comes to killing journalists, blowing up priceless religious and cultural heritage etc.... if "team KLA" thinks it will enter the EU it is deluded. Greece, Spain, Slovakia, Cyprus etc will never accept an ethnically cleansed and jihadist Kosovo in the EU. Kosovo will only enter the EU as part of Serbia

I wonder how will this end?

Did serbia sign the inevitable "recognition". After all it is required for visas.?

I think the did. Me thinks Bogdanovic tells a lot of lies

Great news, its all slowly coming together. This is going to leave a bad taste in the Alb camp but don't worry this is just the start :)"

We know it's the beginning Adam, KPS special forces are going North of Ibar, EULEX said to wait a day because it was a Serbian holiday or something. Then come the customs and trade embrago.

As for the Minister who can't get to his place of work: a protocol will be signed, too bad Serbia will not like it.

I am not a serbian citizen and I live in Kosovo. My passport and my Id-card is from Kosovo. A country wich is recognized by 22 EU countrys as an independent state. In the long term Kosovo will stay independent in the eyes of this 22 EU members.

And don't forget just like Unmik left also Eulex will leave. The only body that will stay in Kosovo forever is the goverment in Prishtina. Who are you going to sign agreement with then mr Bogdanovic ?

I have to laugh at the comments coming from some of the Albanian nationalists on this issue. Thachi and his Sejdiu both are FOR the protocol - because they were told to be. Of course publicly they will rant and rave about never accepting it, only to put on a good show for their constituents.

It is called double-speak, and politicians are known for it the world over. I think it is probably similar to the US government "strongly condemning" the release of the Lockerbie bomber while behind the scenes they gave tacit approval for some oil or business concessions.

I just figured Nelli, Arta, and Kosovo-USA would be able to see that. Guess I was wrong.

I am sorry Mr. Minister but your comments are highly saturated with Belgrade's wishful thinking and you attempt to paint a picture of Kosovo that just doesn't exist. I'm sure part of your wildy speculative comments like "regardless of Prishtina's protest" and "Kosovo citizens being Serbian citizens" have an audience in Serbia and that they serve your political goals. The reality is the Serbs in Kosovo are being played with by you and others in the Serbnian government in order to score points with Brussels. You are out of touch with the reality in Kosovo because you don't know the people that live there or the institutions that govern the country.
