i believe in working together to find all of the missing from the evil wars of the 90s (and all wars, of course)-- but not doing it through such blatantly nationalistic, political means, which are a bit disingenuous, to say the least, ignoring, among others, over 1,000 missing albanians who are "allegedly" buried in ADDitional mass grave in serbia (proper.)

so yes, we MUST deal with the sins of the past, but it ain't gonna work thru cheap, politicized stunts like this, and we all know that, don't we.

thank you.

Hey Roberto,

what about the graves of missing Serbs and Roma of Kosmet who went missing in their hundreds, kidnapped and murdered by the KLA for the extraction of their organs. Where were you when elderly Serbs were being murdered in their homes, oly for the usual KLA police to show up for the cameras and announce an 'investigation' and nobdy got prosecuted. Where were you when Albania onlya coule of weeks ago blocked an CoE delegation from conducting an inquiry on its territory with regarding to the missing Serbs and Roma.. Or is it Roberto that your bias and impartiality towards non Serbs clouds your s called objectivity.

Roberto wrote,

"meanwhile Ljilijana became a public opponent of sonia biserko, and some would say helped lead a very public attack against her."

And you have a problem with journalists having opposing views to you? Perhaps you worship Ms Biserko but she is not above being criticized.

Roberto, do you have something against protecting the journalists? Do you have something against demanding to know what happened to them?

In a democratic society it is normal to protect the journalists and demand to know what happened to them and what happened to the truth they were about to write.

Oh I see, you only believe in protecting the journalists you agree with.

>>President Ljiljana Smajlović...>>

I know something about this nice ms. smajlovic. at one time, before the war, she was a respected journalist who worked for Oslobodjenje (in sarajevo -- remember, that city that was blown to bits for some 4 yrs by u-no-whom.) and she left (voluntarily)to belgrade, where she became a nationalist journalist, what a surprise.

on the other hand, many other serb journalists at Oslobodjenje did NOT take such a route -- some left for the US (i personally know one) or stayed to defend their city, their lifestyle.
not to even mention the # of journalists who were killed in the siege of sarajevo...

meanwhile Ljilijana became a public opponent of sonia biserko, and some would say helped lead a very public attack against her.

of course none of this is evident from this "news" story, thank you very much.

I don't see any barb wire or KFOR solders protecting them. They are protesting in the middle of Prishitna and no one harassing them. And yet again Serbs keep complaining and complaining and complaining.
(Pz, 26 August 2009 17:51)

Wow, what a way to show your tolerance. No harrassing of Serbs in front of cameras for the whole world to see.

What about all those Serbs who are being killed and harrassed when the cameras are not rolling?
Only brave to do it when not filmed or when the victims are elderly and defenceless.

Aside from the 10,000 dead bodies found we are also missing another 1900. Feel free to return them alive too, John.
(aRTA, 26 August 2009 18:31)

1. Show me where this 10 thousand bodies were found. Becouse I know other number: ICTY announced that it had exhumed 2788 bodies in Kosovo + about 850 were found in Serbia. So - it's only about 3600 bodies.

2. Tell me how many of them were armed terrorists from KLA. According KFOR - in 1999 from 2150 bodies found by KFOR - only 850 were thought to be victims of war crimes. So - rest must be armed terrorists.

3. Tell me how many of them were Albanians and non-Albanians killed by KLA.

While it's somewhat of a stretch to conclude that because the 30 Serbs in Pristina demonstrating were not set upon by an Albanian mob is a testament to the Albanian people suddenly feeling a collective sense of multiethnic tolerance and co-fraternity, I think the relative calmness of this demonstration was due to its small size. Being in Belgrade last year and earlier this summer and hearing about demonstrations and rallies on B92 was in many cases the only way I was privvy to them. Belgrade's a large city and unless you're in the city center right in front of a government office, you're simply not going to see this. I can surmise the same goes for Pristina, and 30 Serbs is hardly enough to cause a stir in the city where most Albanians, if they knew of it, couldn't care less about it. Now increase that number to 300 or 3000 and I'm sure we'd be seeing some counter demonstrations.

Hear this world, k-albanians saying its their ACHIEVEMENT that they did NOT attack and lynch serbs in pristina this one time! :) hey lets give you a prize eh. Later maybe :)
Seriously though like albanians would dare attack serbs in broad daylight in front of eulex in pristina with cameras rolling. but 40 serbs that remained of 40000 in pristina after the ethnic cleansing done by albanians are bused to gracanica every week under armed kfor protection to shop becuase in pristina markets lynch mobs would attack them.

This protest was surrounded by EULEX police and mall cops from KPS so thanks to that there were no incidents of harrassment against Serbs and their Albanian colleagues.

the person responsible for the deaths of the bombing is in jail for his crimes, specificly for neglecting to tell his "colegues" that in fourty hours the transmissions will end as a resolt of bombing due to mass milo propaganda.
Innocent serbiens died as a toy by that regime, including the bridge with the train that was used for warmaterial supply. If they were ready to do those , and there is above reasnable doubt that they did, the reporters could have gone in similar circumstances, for propaganda.

All in the middle of Pristina.
Gee, I thought (from reading the comments on this site) that even if anyone so much as opened theor mouth and uttered a word that sounded remotely Serbian that they would be immediately set upon and slaughtered by bloodthirsty Albanian mobs.

Guess things must have moved on.

Anyway, I hope these protestors, and their Albanian counterparts, get some news or justice regarding their compatriots.
