Wow, that's really a good attitute. Hope every politician in Europe and US reads this comment.

And what about Serbs? Should they only obey themselves?

Kurds?
Tibetans?

No double standards please.
AND NO SPECIAL DEAL FOR KOSOVO!

This kind of destruction is bad, I really feel sorry for many local families - they could use these cars for much better purpose. Residents of Gracanica or some Albanians with many kids would be very happy to have these cars for free. This is very senseless destruction.

As for EULEX - here I just can't feel much empathy, no matter how hard I do try. They are there to earn some good money and the quality of their work is a dismal. They should give these cars to locals who are in need - and go home.

I don't get it... since when do we equate destruction of property with peaceful protest?

Demonstrating in front of EULEX or the Kosovo government is perfectly legitimate, but destroying property is vandalism in just about every country in Europe and it definitely justifies the cops pulling out their batons.

Anyone who's seen how hooligans and vandals are treated by the cops in soccer matches knows that.

In other words, nicely put Jason... I think I'd enjoy seeing that too..

(Jason, 26 August 2009 19:01)
You are very wrong sir. How did you conclude that I support criminal thugs? Based on what? Is this the way you want to apply the rule of law by ‘accusing’ me of supporting the ‘criminal thugs’ without any fact? Where did I say that I support criminal thugs? How come you, as you claim, a well educated, smart person, coming from some civilized and democratic country (society) come to such conclusion??!! For your information, I did leave once Kosovo and that by force, but it will never happen again.
You enjoyed seeing them get beaten up by KPS on the news. Did you also enjoy the views of Serbs throwing rocks at the Albanian workers in Mitrovica and the views of the Serb guy who swore in the face and blackguarded the EULEX Police at the scene? Why don’t you go arrest them, raid their homes and confiscate Kalashnikovs they use to fire every time Albanians try to rebuild their burned homes???

No 1. We (the whole EU) have already realized it long time ago. Ask anyone on the streets in Britain, Germany, Italy, Denmark or Greece what impression they have of the so called "Kosovars". Ask please. Yeah, I know you know. Do they think this is making things better or worse in the eyes of the international community, ie the rest of the world? Yes, I know you know the answear. Is this going to gain Kosovos aspirations to be a new country? I bet not. Are some more countries of the 192 countries in the IC going to grant independence. I believe not. Is this in favour for Serbia in the ICJ. No need to state the obvious. Well, the thought to have a new country in Europe was maybe not so bad, I dont know. But I promise you by my heart, this will never ever happen. Wait and see. About 28% or something of the worlds countries have so far granted independence. When we talk about percentage of people, I would think that its about 3-4% of the world population. Its a dead end.

28 vehicles damaged....TWENTY-EIGHT VEHICLES! When is the EU going to realize that the K-Albs, especially their leaders, are not peace loving, rational people??? The K-Albs have been conditioned by the West to believe that no matter what they do, no matter what they destroy, it will be of no consequence because they can do anything "for the sake of their independence". EVERYONE, and every radical group, has to have ACCOUNTABILITY and responsibility for their actions. Who will pay to repair those 28 international vehicles??? Wake up Europe and the West....wake up and see who are reasonable people and who are not!

If you through stones and break windows in Prishtina you are arrested.

I you through stones and break windows in N. Mitrovica you are poor harmless K-Serbs endangered by bricklayers so you won’t be arrested.

This discrimination is what irritates people and brings instability.

Rick, 26 August 2009 13:09)

Oh is that so and who should be blamed for the two custom gates (Gate 1 & 31) set on fire by Serb radical? Let alone all the vehicles that were stationed. Or the incident that took place in northern Mitrovica were handgranades and automatic fire were aimed at KFOR resulting to a death of an Ukranian soldier and leaving dozens badly injured. I dont need to explain how many vehicles were set on fire those days by throwing cocktails on them. So stop trying to lecture us, everyone knows who did what and Serbs are not any better.

It is in a way logical for vetevendosje to try to stop investigations into organized crime. Because the self-appointed albanian government in Priština relies heavily on organized crime. It could not survive without it.

You are very wrong sir. How did you conclude that I support criminal thugs? Based on what? How come you, as you claim, a well educated, smart person, coming from some civilized and democratic country (society) come to such conclusion??!!

I think this was very well done by K-albanians! It really helps the serbs in the region. EU and NATO will start to understand that K-albanians can not rule over the enclaves and the north.
One of the few cases where violence will help the serbian cause, now serbs will not be the "black sheeps" anymore.
Please K-albanians, don't let EU and NATO think this was a one time incident, continue to show your true colors!

Albanians making problems, thats the bottom line that will remain in the minds of those who saw the tv-article of stupid-fanatics turning over some cars.

they even wore some gloves, these heroes... =)

whatever you do, my dear k-albanian friends, you can only lose.

either you keep calm, and the foreign occupiers will "rule" you - or you start turning against them - what will speed up the inevitable reintegration of southern Serbia.

before you start driving crazy my dear k-albanian kids, relax!
I think it will take some years for that, it won´t come fast - but it will.

as far as I am concerned, these clowns, as Jason calls them, should not play around...

they are only useful idiots - and their supporters are simply naive.

Yes he cursed them out but did he destroy anyone's property nope and those Kurti followers got what they deserved peaceful protest yes destroy property and incite violence no, did you guys not learn anything from March 2004? I guess not chase Eulex out go ahead i am sure they can spend they can invest EURO in Belgrade at least they are not destroying property there. One day after it is too late the Kosovo Albanians well wake up and smell the Coffee. Serbia will be in the EU and NATO. When there is trouble in the enclaves it will be a sad day when NATO turns on you and you can thank the educated Mr Kurti and his followers for your troubles and not spin in on Serbs.
