Especially look at situation in Prizren, Priština and Peć where before war lived large Serb communities. Today - this communities don't existed. Serbs were expelled. In North Mitrovica still exist albanian community.

This act by the serbs in N.mitrovica will not work. Albanians there will not back down on building their houses and there is nobody who can stop them. They have legal paper that their propertý in N.mitrovica is theirs and they have every right to built houses there. If there is a neighbour who can't live with that then that neighbour have to leave then. One way or another.

Well Smulan, have the displaced Serbs, Roma, Gorani and Jews been facilitated yet to rebuild their homes and resettle south of the Ibar? The answer is a big fat NO.
The Serb residents in Mitrovica have no problem with their Albanian neighbours, however when they themselves have been denied the right to resettle in Istok, Urosevac, Pristina, Prizren, Djakovica etc. you can naturally assume that they will be a bit cheesed off when they see the International Community bending over backwards to facilitate the Albanians while they themselves receive little to no help.
Secondly, can the ethnic Albanians prove that they actually own the houses that they are refurbishing.
Maybe you should see it from the K-Serb angle and try to understand their grievence.

Serbs should bear in mind that like it or not Kosovo now is an independent state no matter what they do. Do they want another Belfast? Well ask the Irish if it has worked out . Read history books guys , there's nothing new to invent .
(marco, 26 August 2009 19:25)
You speaking about Belfast. Why UK don't recognize Northern Ireland independence (or joining with Republic of Ireland)?? UK government doing in N.I. same what doing Yugoslavia in Kosovo in 90's - fighting with separatists and terrorists. So why NATO don't bombed London after Bloody Sunday??

Did you read the last part of the article where it says, "No Serbs live in the southern, Albanian-held part."
How come there is no Serbs left there?

So where is EULEX?? If Albanians build illegal homes (without agreement with local authorities) - they doing nothing. This is "rule and law"??
(Milan, 26 August 2009 14:48)
I agree, Milan. EULEX is doing nothing - right now. Unfortunately, they might do worse and protect those people who are illegally building Albanian homes in Brdjani. Hopefully they will get it right and stop the illegal building immediately until there is an agreement. There has been no help of returning Serbs to Svinjare, South Mitro, Istok, etc etc, so they have every right to complain and protest. It is a very biased move by the EU.

Milan,
Why is it illegal for albanians to built their houses on the property they lived before the conflict 98-99 ?

No, Albanians are building and rebuilding their burned down homes in their own property and there is nothing illegal about that.
