So I guess these vehicles were in some sort of car park and there was nobody in them.

If that's the case then I stand corrected.

80% rebuilt houses? Majority of Serb churches and monastaries rebuilt?? Where on earth are you getting your figures from?
How many of that number of people were Serbs? What % of Serbs now live in Kosovo? What percentage increase of Albanians in Kosovo has happened over the past 20 years? I am amazed by your comments and I am sure a number of Serb readers may feel somewhat perplexed too! I am not Serb before you accuse me of nationalistic bias but I have taken the time to read data from a number of different sources and believe the truth to be a somewhat different case to that which you are trying to present. That is, of course, just my own considered opinion.

Peggy,

You are either not reading my post carefully, or you are intentionally trying to be as confusing as possible.

I am not contradicting anything.

I said Albanians did not attack EU staff but attacked EU vehicles.

Nick KS, forgive me for pointing this out but does 1244 not override the so called ability for Kosovo to protect its "sovereign state borders" given that Serbia is the state that Kosovo is a part of?
How is it that the Albanian Anarchists can attack the Eulex vehicles (I think maybe a dozen or more were destroyed) and there seems to be nothing wrong with that however when someone(not proven to be Serb) attack the Greek Embassy suddenly we here how monstrous Serbs are. I agree with the sentiments of another post here when remembering the murderous attack on the Chinese Embassy by NATO. If any of you have been to Belgrade and are aware of just how far the Embassy is from any NATO target you will understand how strange it is that it was ever hit at all. So much for American "smart" weapons. In fact it remains a mystery as to why NATO was allowed to get away with bombing Serbia at all but that is a question I suspect will go unanswered for some time to come yet.
On the question of how secure the embassies are in Belgrade though, have you seen how protected the US embassy actually is? And isnt it the case that the Greek Embassy is manned by Greek police? (I may be wrong about this)
I think what we have here is a case of stupid extremists (or provocationists) trying to stir up a hornets nest so that some elements feel they can condemn Serbia as a whole. Lets get some balance here and lets look at the whole situation with a little more pragmatism please.
Thanks all.

Albanians did not attack EU "staff" but attacked EU vehicles.

The reason why they did so was hecause they are not happy about the EU trying to help Serbia get white Schengen by sacrificing Kosova's sovreign rights to control its own borders

You are contradicting yourself. In one sentence you say they did not attack and then in the other you give us reason why they did that.

Then we get this,

You mean vandalism similar to the ones in Kosovo where Serb churches, monasteries, graveyards and homes of expelled Serbs are being destroyed?
(MikeC, 26 August 2009 14:08)

All those churches you are talking about have been re-built by the goverment of Kosovo. Also majority of the houses. If you count like that then Serbia destroyed 80 % of Kosovo. Not to mention 800 000 people expelled from Kosovo
(Smulan, 26 August 2009 18:09)

More excuses for your vandalism.

You guys condemn Serbs for anything and everything no matter if minor of major but you seem to have neverending excuses for your own actions.

I condemn the attack on the Greek embassy and any other types of attacks or vandalism. How about you do the same?

Nick KS, I am sorry I don't quite understand your logic fully. Are you saying that the attack on the EULEX vehicles is not vandalism because it is politically motivated? Are you saying it is ok that the vehicles were attacked? I also don't follow how the Greek Embassy having Molotov Cocktails thrown at it is different then. Aren't both politically motivated?

I don't think I am understanding your arguement very well.

Regardless, it does happen to embassys all over. Serbia is no exception. When embasies are accessible to the public, because the embassy's country decided to place it there, it makes it vulberable to minor attacks such as this. Large scale attacks, such as th eUS embassy being overrun in Iran during PResident Carter's US presidency, that is different.

EULEX has no authority whatsoever to sign agreements on Kosova's behalf. Their authority derives from a letter sent to the EU by Kosova's President, which conditions the exercise of executive powers by EULEX with compliance with the Ahtisaari package.

If EULEX does not recognize Ahtisaari, then then executive powers are inexistent.

This latest incident in Belgrade, is something else completely, its pure vandalism, the likes of which we are seeing quite often these days in Belgrade.

There are anarchists in Greece as well - and they often support terrorist groups like N17 (former communist group which has now been broken up). I have read that they have also been supported by foreign governments to cause trouble.

Anarchists belong to no nation having rejected their own nation.

But we will always remember the illegal bombing of the Chinese embassy by NATO / US / UK / EU to help the Islamic supremacist / jihadist KLA group whose crimes include mass killings, ethnic cleansing, destruction of religious/cultural heritage, arms smuggling, drugs running, slavetrading, organ smuggling etc.

And before the Albanians say "where is the proof" (again) just google "KLA Al Qaeda" and you will see what I mean.

The Iranian embassy was attacked in Stockholm Sweden resently. No country is immune to incidents like these. By the way, didn't albanians attack EU staff in Pristina yesterday?
