I think most of the commentators have given much more importance to this incident than it deserves. Anarchism is popular among a minority of Greek students and youth. We all know that there are many Greek students in Serbian universities. So, probably some of them with the help of few Serbian co-believers did this action.
Terms like “Nation” and “Law”, are just forms of oppression for them. They don’t care about Greek-Serbian relations or anything that relates to “Nation”.

Jovan Z

So just because it happened in Beograd does it mean it was a Serb that did it?
If it was he/they need to be caught.False flag Op? Yes certainly could be.With this anarchists are hooligans and attacking Greece is so foolish it makes me want to stomp them myself.

To all the Serbs and Greek poster who are getting all panicky about the pontential harm that might come to the Serb-Greek relationship from this incident rest assured that the Orthodox Brotherhood is stronger than ever. As someone rightly put "it's just a storm in a tea cup."

We, the Albanians, are still your "enemies." All is right in the universe.

What the hell, oops, I thought that the last embassy to be attacked in belgrade would be the greek one.
I always wondered if Albanian embassy was going to be attacked after Sali Berisha's comments on national unity.
Serbia's only friend in the region has been attacked by serbs.

perhaps user "mike" needs to read some history before he makes these comments making such comments that Kosovars today are the result of intense immigration. During King Hoxha's rule any person trying to escape Albania was buried alive.

Of course,
relations with FYROM, Turkey
are always bad, so there is no need for cheap tricks in Skoplje, Instambul.

However, relations with Serbia and potential commerce trading and transactions with this country is still a possibility, so the new order will have to start investing in creating hatred in that respect, between the two countries.

And to the guy, who thought that we all sound ridiculous:

1) many of us commented before the story was updated to include the anarchist part of it
2) even if we commented before the whole story came out, that has no difference at all. it could not be anything else than that, a phantom leftist type of organization.

How can you possibly even think that?
No Serbs dislikes Greeks.

This is obviously the work of some stupid people with their own agenda (every country has those) or non Serbs.

There are plenty of people living in Serbia who are Serbia's enemy. Serbia is the most multicultural country from former Yugoslavia.

Most likely it's the work of idiots with some misguided sense of justice.

I agree with you bganon.
My point is that there are times when intelligence has nothing to do with embassy destruction. NATO did indeed intentionally bomb the Chinese embassy.

I apoligize if I did not communicate properly.

"Ok Mike we burned serbian houses because you burned down our houses first. We albanians never went from Prishtina to your home in Belgrade to burn your house while serbs came from belgrade to burn our houses in Kosovo. Why ?
(Smulan, 25 August 2009 19:13)"

As much as I hate to play the game of "Who's History is More Victimized than Who", I feel compelled to at least point to the back and forth tit-for-tat games Serbs and Albanians have played far longer than 1999. So you burned down a Serb house in 2000 because a Serb burned down an Albanian house in 1999 because an Albanian kicked a Serb out of Kosovo in 1995 because a Serb kicked an Albanian out of a job in 1989 because an Albanian moved into Kosovo because Tito opened the borders in 1945 because Serbs were perceived to be too powerful in 1934, and well I think you get the point. We could go back to the Age of Protoplasm and find some reason why Serbs and Albanians can't stand each other. In fact, the first amoeba that split was probably a Serb and Albanian that couldn't stand sharing the same cellular nucleus.

But while I neither live in Belgrade, nor am a Serb, I can assure you that contrary to the general belief on the street, neither Serbs nor Albanians spontaneously think it's a great idea to make the lives of the other side miserable for no apparant reason. If you want to vent your anger towards Serbian real estate, may I recommend a house in Pozarevac that holds the remains of a certain strongman in the 1990s? Or if you'd rather go after a more organized institution, please to not let me stop you from targeting Zemun Clan. What does an elderly couple in Djakovica or Urosevac have anything to do with collective revenge? At some point, somebody's got to be the bigger boy. And even though this has absolutely nothing to do with the article itself, the whole "they started it first", while a potent vehicle for collective belief, is getting old.

I recall seeing some graffiti around Belgrade calling for some sort of solidarity with the Greek anarchists that were running amok last year when the Greek police killed that teenager. The education level of the average hooligan that attacks embassies means that they might have attacked the wrong embassy.

I wish I was joking.

I remember seeing some hooligans not knowing which embassy they were attacking during various protests - even if those embassies had flags.
