It was an attractive building, as you can see from the tiny picture at the link. Does B92 have any news photos of what it looks like burned down?

Built in 1927, the two-storey former Union Hotel next to the National Theatre is a typical eclectic building of the early 20th century that wouldn't raise an eyebrow in most Central European cities, but in Pristina is distinctly different for its dainty decorations. It currently stands derelict and half empty.

Why are Albanians making such a huge deal about this???? I havent read one Albanian post condeming the destructing of Serbian monesteries.

Albanians did not need it. Consider this... Serbs built it, paid for it, did everything for it... and now they get to have it for free? Their own incompetence of letting it burn down in the first place is just proof that they do not deserve ownership of this building or many other infrastructure that billions of dollars were invested in by the Serbian government.

Well, if you think about it, all governments are "temporary" since part of being democratic is government with term limits. Thankfully George W. Bush's government was "temporary" too.

Oh i can answer that one. Kosovo Albanian terror groups with the aim of destabilizing the Serbian province in a bid to scapegoat the minorities and therefore attempt to drive them out. This will fail. As for Serbs having to ask the temporary Kosovo authorities to take a leak? Haha since when? Last i heard RS government has control of a good proportion of northern Kosovo-Metohija.

The temporary Kosovo government stated that the fire was a “serious act of vandalism.”

The Kosovo "authorities" are vandals. You reap what you sow....

I wonder whos idea is to write "temporary Kosova govermant"!?
Kosova govermant was elected by people in free and democratic elections.
Hotel Union has a lot of value to K-Albanians, I wonder who did this horrible act and on whoes orders???

"The temporary Kosovo government"

It must be hell of a strong temporary government since this so called Serbian Government officials has to ask the temporary Kosovo government to take a leak let alone visit the country. Who would had thought it would come to this back in -96? Just a thought.

Union Hotel will start her renovation in September, and if someone is found guilty for vandalism should get the maximum sentence.
