Well, first of all, it doesn't just sound stupid, it is stupid per-se to send such a note in the first place.
Given that Albania has recognized Kosova's independence that alone should have been reason enough for Serbia. And guess what, - it has been; it still is and keep being that way. To issue a note of protest over the logical and obvious, is just a waste of time, print paper and efforts.
After all, it's not just Albania that doesn't consider Kosova's independence as a matter of Serbia's national integrity, along with Albania it's another bunch of 61 independent states, all members of the UN. They've all recognized Kosova as independent. Serbia should have a lot of beef with like, half the world. I guess, it is time Serbia woke up now, and maybe even try to understand where the ball is being played and stop threats to those good neighbours of theirs.
And, let's be honest, relations between Serbia and Albania have never been lower. So that kind of reasoning stinks too.
If Serbia recognized Kosova's independence, they will have almost excellent relations with Albania.
Sorry, but the situation remains grim and i don't see a likely way it may get any better in a near or even distant future.
Relations between nations are built upon a certain level of trust which is very prone to the past sometimes. Considering Serbia's past, Serbia's present(that is very similar to the past) the future doesn't sound too promising after all.

No "Great Albania, " just Ethnic Albania, we don't want lands that aren't populated by Albanians
(aRTA, 19 August 2009 00:21)

???? Sorry - but similar nationalistic rhetoric (unity of all territories where live one nation in one national country) last time was in 1938 - 1939 when Hitler taked territories of Austria, Czechoslovakia, Lithuania and Poland, only becouse in this countries lived Germans. You know final.

Minority is minority - You Albanians have your national country - Albania. If You live in other countries - like Serbia, Montenegro or Macedonia, You must accept laws of this countries. That's all. That's european standards. Mr Berisha rhetoric - is nationalistic standard.

I guess this letter and the articles on Serbia's friendships with Russia and China, and Eulex co operation with the Serbian Police has just been a little too much.

Time is on Serbia's side. The Russians and Chinese will get stronger and the Americans, UK, France and Germany will get weaker. One day we will all be able to laugh about the idea of a Greater Albania. Actually I find it quite funny right now.
(Miles, 18 August 2009 22:36)

Is all the Serbian camp really this naive?

P.S What happens if the US in a decade from now decides to build its stuff in Vietnam (one example).

A port? Nope you are landlocked.
Natural resources? Nope, you don't any. So keep dreaming and wait because "time is on your side".

ARTA I'd like to see you getting involved in Kosova's politics(if you're not invloved already). I like your views towards Ethnic Albania. You have my full support. God bless you and your family.

1244 is in the trash bin already. Haven't you notice that no one has seen the SRSG in public lately. I wonder where he is at? Maybe getting ready to govern Sanxhak, Vojvodina and Presheva valley very soon.
(Kosova-USA, 18 August 2009 21:14)

Please show me the resolution that supercedes 1244? Name and number please? You got a link to an URL? Thanks in advance!

Please see 11 2 1 which is the ratio of Albanians to Serbs in Kosovo. Also see 4 2 1 which Albanian birth rate vs Serbian birth rate. Reality on the ground speaks loud and clear.

aRTA,

You are misinformed. Kosovo is part of Serbia. Please check 1244.

By the way why Kosovo province had an unemployment rate of 50 %.

And if Albania is such a great country why are there so many illegal Albanians in Western Europe?

The protest note pointed out to Albania's representative in Belgrade that statements such as Berisha's harm the good neighborly relations and regional cooperation, the ministry said

Where did the FM send the protest?Because in spirit of good neighborly relations serbs vandalized the Albanian embassy in February 2008. Last week Albanians were the terrorists according to Tadic. Now you want good neighborly relations with them?

Good then, Serbian border guards will prevent this. Problem solved, just tell those Guards to stop it.

By the way, why do you repeat the same thing? We will borrow like you--from anyone-- soon and "solve our problems."

Albanians are not impressed at all about any Serbian protest. Serbia knows it very well. It is time to think how to remove more mountains between Kosova and Albania. Good start with motorways that connects the Albanian nation.

--"The ministry explained in a statement that it condemned in the strongest terms Berisha's provocative statement which crudely violated Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity."

Jeremic still going? There is no violation of Serbia's sovereignty, Berisha wasn't talking about Presheva, he was talking about Kosova. As far as Albania (and almost all of EU and NATO and developed world) is /are concerned Kosova in an INDEPENDENT state and no one cares about Serbia's letters.

"The protest note pointed out to Albania's representative in Belgrade that statements such as Berisha's harm the good neighborly relations and regional cooperation, the ministry said."

Some great relations we have.

--"On Sunday, media quoted the Albanian PM as saying that "the national unity of Albanians should be a key idea in the policies of Albania and Kosovo".

Duh! Unification (in all but name) is going on and nothing can stop it, at least not Serbia.

Albanian recognizes Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state. Kosovo and Albania can and will implement laws to make commerce and communication between Albanians easier and make them feel that much more united. Kosovo's constitution so states that it cannot join any other state, including Albania and Serbia. Serbia should keep quiet.
