Frau Peck of course RS will never be a state just a province or region of Serbia. The same goes for Herzegovina and Croatia.People who for centuries have suffered of islamoimperialism have the moral right to be separate and even divide the remaining part.If Bosniaks do not like it they are free to move to currently forming berlin vilajet and join their turkish brothers. Then they will become germany's problem. But that is what germans deserve .They used to be good at backstabbing those who fought against turks. The debt must be paid back dear doris.Once you do not care about your neigbour's burning house and even add some oil to fire you must bear in mind that your very own house may catch fire as well.

RS is prospering while Federacija is bankrupt. Now I wonder who is holding whom up?

Personally, I don't think RS should separate but in fact all of BiH should form some kind of Union with Serbia and we can then exchange the Croatian part for Krajina. Now that's a fair deal if you ask me. ;)

Regarding the question of whos holding who up in Bosnia we all know the answer to that one....

We can not deny that RS is a part of the territory called Bosnia, but the citizens of RS should strive to become Serbian citizens just as the croats of BiH are Croatian citizens. As long as the muslims and croats don't try to control the lives of ordinary serbians in RS I am satisfied.
No real need for independence then. But if the muslims start to follow the lead of their politicians and try to rule the serbs again then the question should be brought back to life.

And regarding Krajina, the same holds there in my opinion, no need for independence, but a regional autonomy would be fine, togehter with Serbian citizenship I belive that would satisfy most of the population. The serbs that are etnicly cleansed must be allowed to come back, just as RS allows muslims and croats back to the RS.

Of course croats and muslims will have to find a solution they are happy with, if that means autonomy or independence for Herzeg-Bosna, that is fine, just leave Trebinje out of it ;-)

Bosnia & Herzegovina is an abortion that is past its sell-by date. How can you force three ethnicities who despise each other to live together after such a brutal war in such a short space of time? At least after WW2, borders were re-drawn to create relatively homogenous states, so as not to invite unnecessary conflict again.

Who asked?

Her statements however encourage the existence of RS! I actually think down the road the USA will give Serbs in RS their freedom. They to are getting sick of the Bosniaks in Bosnia. Its a money pit for the EU and USA.

Zoran, Croatia is to receive more in land it's center. Her Crescent shape due to Ottoman wars leaves her vunerable. Give us that and Herzog-Bosnia
and we'll talk.

Pack cannot see the forest for the trees.

yes, bosnians must ULtimately take responsibility for their own country. as all of our students must ultimately take responsibility for their education and lives. that doesn't mean that we all (school staff) just take a hike, esp.ly after all the fun of the 90s in the balkans, compliments of our dear frnds.

so i will add dear ms. pack to my very long list of ethically challenged, and frankly ignorant europeans. and i like europeans! (most)

as for what some religious leader, ceric or anyone else, said or did not say about sharia law, i care not 2 whits. he is not an elected bosnian leader, he is a religious figure and that is that. until there is official theocracy, which there will never be in bosnia.

the existence of so-called RS has very nearly destroyed bosnia, and it is up to all of us who care about bosnia and bosnians to never let that happen.

as for some nationalist desires to "take back" parts of croatia, go ahead, let us watch you try. some people never learn.

RS should be free to choose its own future.

If the Muslims want Sharia they can have it but the EU will never accept it and so the Federation will remain out. RS should be free to enter the EU if that's what they choose without being held back by those who want a set of laws that are inconsistent with Europe.....

So Pack supports the closing of the OHR. Now if that isn't an massive admission of failure, especially from one of the most rabidly anti-Serb MEPs, then I don't know what is.

"Taking into consideration the international presence and the financial and technical help,.."

That would be entirely to Moslem-Croat Federation then. Threats, sanctions against the RS have failed and the EU is still paying the bill for a Federation that is deeply corrupt, incompetent and lazy that is hoping to live off western guilt (EUR) for their part in screwing the SFRY up for as long as possible.

If anything, the RS is being held back by the Federation. While the RS privatises companies, brings in experts and is modernizing itself for the 21st century, people like Ceric and Siljadzic think they should be used as milch kows to subsidize the Federation.

Get a job!

All the more reason for RS to stop towing the boat anchor around. For it's time to cut the boat anchor and let RS become it's own state and or join Serbia proper.

For some reason all these internationals believe that Serbs must live with others, but others need not live with Serbs.

It doesn't help when Bosnia’s Muslim spiritual leader, Reiss-ul-Ulema Mustafa Ceric, calls for Sharia law....
