Instead of blaming the Macedonians for this crime you are blaming the Albanians???? what the hell? they lost the game and than went on a criminal rampage, while the Albanians were just living in their homes.

Frustration among Macedonians! This is how the war in former Yug began. Fighting among soccer fans. Who can blame them? The albanians in Macedonia have all the rights they can dream of and more and still they don't recognize the country they live in. In every area dominated by albanians you will see the albanian flag sway. This is proof that albanians don't want peace but rather ethnicly clense and take control of as much territory as possible. Macedonias only way out is to join NATO. Then albanians would have to wake up and realize that progress lies in cooperation rather than expansionism.

Good moorning Macedonia :) After Your oppurtunictic decision off support "independent" Kosovo days of Macedonia are numbered. Macedonia will lost western part. But Serbia will be not hypocrite - Serbia will not accept albanian state on the territory of Macedonia.

And regarding the flags, well, then you can explain why the Bosnian region RS mainly show Serbian flags and not the Bosnian flag.

The Democratic Party of Albanians said that the ruling coalition, made up of VMRO-DPMNE and the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) – another ethnic Albanian party – are "still treating Albanians as second rate citizens", and that the Sunday’s incident was "akin the Crystal Night in Germany in 1938", when Nazis conducted a pogrom of the Jewish population.
This party, in it's entirety should go to jail for trying to provoke ethnic tensions. Comparing this incident to what the German Nazis did to Jews, is mind boggling.

What is a 'right-wing hooligans"? That is the most ridiculous statement I've read in a while!

And regarding the flags, well, then you can explain why the Bosnian region RS mainly show Serbian flags and not the Bosnian flag.

They are showing the Flag of Republika Srpska (RS), which has the same colours as the Serbian flag. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Republika_Srpska

This is not the flag of another country that ethnic Albanians tend to display in their country of origin.

The Albanians are exaggerating their, so called, suffering. This is done to gain sympathy from countries that are easily duped, like America and the UK, and to brainwash their own population into believing it's really like that. Albanians actually believe that the West will fall for their trick once more. Albanians say the Serbs, Macedonians, Montenegrins and Greeks all treat them bad.

Having attended a football match in macedonia when I was in the opposing side I can say I didn't see any crazy hard mental ultras but beautifully choreographed pretending. It was only the police that wanted confrontation really.

Nevertheless, kids attacking innocent people just isn't on and is indefensible. Even worse is politicians comparing it to nazis - that is an affront to Jews for a start and second it is totally irresponsible.

Such bad reporting. I saw the videos. Hooligans going through a mostly Albanian neighborhood, attacking everyone, women and kids, while police just stood by. This wasn't just a few hooligans, but hundreds of them, hence how they managed to block the bridge for 4 hours. They went through peoples homes, attacking them in broad daylight. Very well orchestrated if you ask me.

As for the SS Skanderbeg, why bring up a unit that was always dubbed militarily useless, formed as PR by Nazis and only fought against Albanian partisans?

what I don't get it why the pro albanian camp only cares about what happened to the albanians in this case "attacked mostly [ethnic] Albanians". That statement would seem to suggest that some of the group that were attacked were not Albanian, but infact something else all together. That being said, I have two, so far un mentioned issues, to say: first, it shows a great deal of nationalism and a massive lack for non-ethnic-albanians to only talk about your brethern when others were afflicted equally. secondly it also makes it a little harder to accept any sort of ethnic motivation if more than one ethnicity was targeted.

I totally agree with your point. This can hardly be related to anything other than a football fight. I've seen and read about many many soccer fights over the past year. I've actually enjoyed a television show called 'Football Factories', that highlights football hooligan activity throughout Europe.
5 people were injured after a football match. They were all attacked by supporters of the opposing team.
There is nothing directly ethnically related in this event, and 5 people does not make a tradgey.
I'm getting more and more disappointed with the nonsense that is constantly coming out of the mouths of the leaders of virtually all Balkan nations, as well as all of the strongly nationalized posters on this site.
When we've lost all rational perspective then we're truely lost. I think it is time for this European penninsula to start to retake its bearings because they're not far from lost.

Every week they come up with something new, change the flag, change the national anthem, make Albanian the official language- what kind of minority of 25% in the world has so much representation?
