Having Kosovo out of the shengen is also likely to reduce the temptation for the remaining residence to leave Kosovo for good, except for Serbia. So in a way it severes Belgrade interest in not giving the Kosovo Serbs the ability to travel visa free and then risk them not coming back.

Sorry Olf, but in Holland and Belgium we got a LOT of Albanian criminals. And then I am talking about gangsters.

In my opinion we should close the EU for Albanians. We have high unemployment. So we really do not need more work force.

Same for other countries. Don't take this personoal!

But Albania is like a third world country. It should be kept out of the EU for the coming decades!

Albanians are the largest minority in Swiss and they must be respected. They are working and paying contributions to Swiss and majority of them are law obiding citizens.
(Olf, 12 August 2009 15:01)

Wrong:

Italian, Germans, Portuguese, Serbian, the actual ranking... and all of them ARE indeed paying their taxes!

As to the Albanians, I already said it many times, the first generation are more than well integrated and appreciated hard working people, it is however not the case for a large majority of the second generation that came during the war!
And yes, we respect our foreign communities as much as their respect us and respect the laws!
I have no intention to blame an entire nation for some individuals, but we have not created the terrible image that the albanians are having abroad and with the kind of ultra nationalist posters on this site, this image will certainly not improve in the decades to come!!

Swiss,

blaming the entire population is wrong, that does not lead anywhere.
My information is fresh and very correct. I said that there are few that deal with illegal activities but hey, there are plenty of Swiss, Serbs, Greeks, Italians, Germans etc that do the same thing and these people cooperate very well.
According to your logic those nations are bed too.

Swiss, every society have it own crap so does Albanian society. Judging the enire nation on actions of some is really not mature nor does it help the host nation.

Not some 15 years ago Olf, all sort of dirty trafficking is being today controlled by them in Switzerland, so you must have some rather old source of information...., but you can always update your knowledge by looking at the official statistics!

Indeed the first wave of K-Albanians are more than well integrated, have also acquired swiss passports, but this is certainly not the case for a large portion of the second wave coming at the beginning and during the war! They even managed to racket their own "older" fellow citizens, it says all!

Of course as always you find an interesting excuse to justify criminal behaviours, you and yours alike are never guilty of anything, the others are.

Being that Kosovars are the youngest immigrants in Swiss, in short period of time they have done well. All of them have kids in schools and universities, they are amongst the best students in Swiss, and this answers the quaetion of integration.

It was Serbia who agreed for EU visa liberalisation for Serbian citizens. Without the residents of Kosovo getting visa liberalisation, suggests that the residents are not Serbian citizens. Another point which suggests that the residents are not Serbian citizens is that they are not under the control of Serbia. Not to mention that the people of Kosovo have their own ID, Passports and Citizenship. So when the time comes for vis liberalisation of Kosovo, it won't be as Serbian citizens.

Kosovo is currently administered by the UN so it's obvious that control over that territory is limited, however, the Serbian residents look towards Belgrade so if there's a will there's a way.

I think it's time this government called new elections to allow more competent people to take over. The North is firmly under Serbia's control but this government is too incompetent or simply following the West's agenda to care.

Kosovo is a complete mess and no-one seems to be doing anything to clean that mess up. It is crime ridden where crimes simply go unpunished, especially those committed against Serbians.

The temporary institutions there need to grow up and quickly. In fact, it would be far better to have them replaced.

Serbia has no control over Bosnia either but Serbs living there can travel visa free on Serbian passports.

What is the difference between Serbs in Bosnia and Serbs in Kosovo?

Sound more like a reason to force Serbia to recognize Kosovo.
