George, How come me as an Albanian I can understand perfect an Arvanitis and ,ihave no clue in greeks ,I don't know any word .
Secondly, How do the Greeks call Albanians in greek language .is this enough?.

George, Melbourne

@ aRTA

Arvanites are not Albanians - I know because I am Arvanite. We have been Greeks since ancient times and fought against the Albanians, Turks etc.

If you call an Arvanite an Albanian to his face be prepared for a black eye.

This ridiculous claim of yours reminds me of the claim by the thugs in Pristina who claim the Serbian Orthodox churches and monasteries as "Albanian."

Get your own history!!

I would say a very poor choice of words by the "distinguished" president. First by linking a specific nationality with terrorism. So just because they are Albanians they are assumed terrorists. I can see that this matter of classifying people produced the mass murders of children, old and other innocent civilians. And what can we say when there is a country committing all these crimes? Tadic is beginning to resemble to Bush regarding the use of the word "terrorist", whether that is for belief or scoring internal political points.

Greece ...

so Greeks are supposed to be appreciated a lot in EU.
I have Greeks in my hometown and I know them since I was little and they are appreciated same as the other people from Balkans. Whereas poeple from i.e. Germany, Belgium, Denmark, UK are higly appreciated, I dont know why.
Anyway, Greeks in Albania should be given the same treatment than if yuo agree.
Since you know the truth I will not dwell on this.

"The rising wave of crime in Greece in recent years has been often attributed to Albanian immigrants"-Oh yes the greeks are number one for blaming the others for everything bad. Everything in the bad news has immediately an albanian author and everyone forget that their half of million albanian immigrants are part of their economic rise for the last 20 years. Well let me explain to those that maybe do not have heard about that at the begininig of the 90's greeks wanted the albanians to work for greece without any permit of stay in greece (excluding them who declared that were part of greek minority in albania) and each time that the politicians did not agree to blame were the " bad albanians stealing everything to good greeks". Then the albanians have names that greeks can't pronounce so they must change them all in greek names (orthodox ones)and with this case anyone who likes can be declared greek-and we will give a permit of stay....are you happy?. After this they can work in Greece but every six month they have to repeat their permit of stay paying 1000 euros or more each of these 6 months. So after more than 10 years albanians have their permit of stay in Greece. But these "bad albanians" liek to spend the summer holidays in Albania. But greeks do everything to keep close their borders (coustms) prohibiting with any cost the albanians to pass through. They want to keep albanians inside Greece even for these 15 days. Do they love their albanians immigrants for at least 15 days? Or do they love the money that go to albania for at least 15 days a year? Now Can I ask you who is bad and who is the good one?

you are talking about Somalis in Australia right.
There is a huge differnce, Albanians here are not in Australia but in there homeland for centuries.
Tadic and his apparatus are trying to hide with these kind of statements behind their inability to govern large part of Serbia, not only Albanians but unhappy Serbs too.

aRTA

pre 14 godina

Greece for ever, you forgot this from the same article:

"Researchers agree that the percentage of crime for which the Albanians are responsible, compared to the rest of the immigrant population in Greece, was only 4.5%"

So it's your supposed "blood purity" idea that is threatened since Albanians reminded you of Arvanites that make some 40% of your population.

Peggy

pre 14 godina

Well, Albanians have to start denying and throwing mud at Serbs in defence.

Just like here in Australia. When they picked up Somali and Lebanese terrorists, Somali representatives came out and blamed Australia for their behaviour. They said that Australia hasn't done enough and given them enough so their youth went off the rails.

It's always someone else's fault when the truth comes out, isn't it our dear Albanian citizens?

All terrorists claim it's someone else's fault.

Greece for ever

pre 14 godina

Albanians are the biggest threat to stability in the Balkans. They spread crime all over the Balkans and Europe. It has to stop, NOW!

"Greek feelings towards the Albanian immigrants are overwhelming negative. Of all the migrants in Greece, Bulgarians, Romanians, Poles, Kurds, Africans, Pakistanis, etc, the Albanians are the least appreciated."

"There is no doubt about it, terrorists are preparing in the triangle between our southern province of Kosovo and Metohija, northern Macedonia, and southern municipalities in the region of Preševo and Bujanovac,"

Keep dreaming Tadic: Kosova is a done deal and you know it. Your economy is collapsing, EU bid going nowhere, you have to recognize Kosova and no one is even answering to your almost clear calls for dividing Kosova. So, pull the "Albanian terrorist" card for the Serbs to rally and forget reality.

Preševo and Bujanovac will get the same status as North of Ibar, that's all. We will not fall for your provocation.

Hank the Tank

pre 14 godina

Why is Tadic not allowed to tell the truth? Look at Kosovo and you'll see how crime ridden that province is. Albanians in Macedonia are a threat as well as their brothers in Montenegro. Albanians are the biggest threat to Balkan stability. As an albanian you should deal with this problen and then you'll get respect. Instead you find excuses for harboring terrorists, drugsmuglers, murderers and most importantly you should cancel all plans of stealing territory that does not belong to you.

Ok first of all its been quiet in Kosova for a couple of months. Kosova being quiet goes against Serbian interests because the focus of the international community shifts away from Kosova when everything goes well. So Tadic comes up with this.

Second every time your leaders start their Albanian hate speeches Serbia ends up getting bombed and international sanctions are put in place against Serbia. Learn from your past mistakes at least ones.

Tadic&Co. If this problem is only related to Albanians, then I have a very simple solution. Reckognise Kosovo. Start to cooperate with Kosovo institutions and international forces. Here we are with the new brand, so called Trans-Continental terrorism, and of course as always its origin must be somewhere in southern part of Serbia, where else? Mr. Tadic, we (Albanians) are well acquainted with these kinds of qualifications, however I don’t think your desirably audience will fall into that trap this time, as it did not up to now.
Mr. Tadic, Albanians are people who, want to live normally as any other, no matter where they are. So stop insulting international and national intelligence with these kinds of banal assertions.
By the way, I did not encounter you interest on recent lay off of more than 800 employees all over Serbia? Have a say, please?

Wake up Serbian citizens and tell your politicians to grasp the present in order not to lose the future.
