The issue here is KLA organ harvesting. Why do you quickly try to put it under the rug, pz, by bringing up another war crime? Are only proposed Serbian atrocities important to you, and those committed by the KLA?
(svojgazda, 3 August 2009 18:35)
To me the main issue here is the missing persons, while ‘organ harvesting’ is a ‘sub-issue’, if I may say so. Why am I saying this, because it is a proven fact that many people are missing (including here, Albanians, serbs, roma, etc), while ‘organ harvesting’ is some allegation which can not be proven without having discovered the remains.
Further, we are talking here about CoE investigation, which, in my opinion, should investigate and bring to light every singe case of the missing persons from the war, regardless of ethnicity.
“This organ trafficking investigation needs to run its course and it would be nice to see the Kosovo Albanian camp stop denying that they too committed some horrific crimes in Kosovo.
(Jason, 4 August 2009 07:43)”
Jason, I fully agree that there should be some well coordinated investigation involving Serbia, Kosovo, EULEX and even Albania, so we could all finally know the truth and this way be able to hand over to the families the remains of their missing beloved.
But as far as ‘organ harvesting’ is concerned, that’s only an allegation. I don’t know if you are informed that recently (in June this year) there were several people arrested in Kosovo, under suspicion that they have paid (bribed) or were ready to pay people so they could witness that KLA was involved in organ trafficking.
There were recordings of the discussions (transcripts were published in several editions in local press) which prove that those arrested were members of Serbian secret service BIA and were ready to pay up to 100.000€ for a ‘witness’.

“I would like to know why it is only Serbia who is prosecuting its own citizens for these crimes while I have not seen any Albanian-run institutions come forward to arrest and convict guilty Albanians”.
There were several KLA members accused by Hague, some were released as not guilty while others were convicted and are serving prison. Eulex has just recently begun court proceedings against several ex KLA, and I really hope justice will sooner or later reach everyone who committed crimes. That’s all I can say on this issue.

Pz, maybe you should be addressing your question about missing Albanians, towards the KLA? They are responsible for doing away with many fellow Albanians who did not support them. Ask Thaci what he did with the bodies.
(MyTwoCents, 3 August 2009 16:03)
You mean I should address to KLA and Thaci for the Batajnica mass graves, petrovo selo, the truck found in Danube full of dead bodies, etc etc…
There are reports saying that about 1900 K.Alb. are still missing, so it is not wise being cynical in this issue.

Pz, we are well aware of these crimes and people in some of the cases have been identified, arrested, and sentenced... and in a perfect world, all guilty parties should be held accountable. Anyone killing civilians should be prosecuted to the fullest extent, that much we all agree on I think. I would like to know why it is only Serbia who is prosecuting its own citizens for these crimes while I have not seen any Albanian-run institutions come forward to arrest and convict guilty Albanians. This organ trafficking investigation needs to run its course and it would be nice to see the Kosovo Albanian camp stop denying that they too committed some horrific crimes in Kosovo.

Is this is some type of a joke ladies and gents???
300-500 missing while Kosova was crowling with KFOR troops and UNMIK Police. How is that POSSIBLE???
(Kosova-USA, 3 August 2009 14:43)

Mr K-U, maybe you see some jokes, I don't.
For God sake, can you once try to be a bit objective.

You and you alike have a unique chance to have an investigation made by a highly qualified incoruptible investigator so let him do his job and see the outcome, or are you so afraid of it!

There are hundreds not to say thousands of multi-etnicities including Albanians who finally want to draw a line either way, so have some respect!

If you are so convinced of the wrongdoing of this investigation and have the necessary proofs I suggest that you contact Mr Marty personally and expose your case!

The same way it was possible for Albanians to ethnically-cleanse 10's of thousands of Serbs from Kosovo, and burn 100's of Orthodox churches in 2004, KFOR / UNMIK troops looked the other way, Kosovo USA. Let the investigator do his job - why would you be so adamant that LKA organ harvesting was not committed? Do you have more proof than the prosecutors? Sit tight and wait and see.

The prosecution has gathered numerous material evidence and has statements from some 130 witnesses in the case sometimes referred to as the Yellow House, after one of the buildings in northern Albania believed to have been used as a location for organ removal.

"We have established elements of the crime and without any desire to pressure him, we expect Mr. Marty's support to have regular investigations in Kosovo and in Albania, in order to learn the truth about what happened to 300 to 500 people who went missing from 1999 until 2001," he said.
What about the other missing persons from the war in Kosovo? Will you support investigation so we can all learn what happened to all those missing Albanians?

“The Serbian War Crimes Prosecution believes that ethnic Albanian so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) kidnapped hundreds of Serb civilians in the province, and took them across the border to northern Albania. The investigation so far showed that many had their vital organs removed to be sold in the black market.”
What proof is there to show that many had their vital organs removed? If those persons are missing and you don’t know of their whereabouts, then how come there is proof that show that their vital organs are missing?

“The prosecution has gathered numerous material evidence and has statements from some 130 witnesses in the case sometimes referred to as the Yellow House, after one of the buildings in northern Albania believed to have been used as a location for organ removal.”
As far as I recall, EULEX recently issued some declaration stating that there is no clear evidence whatsoever in addition to some statements and what has been reported in the media.
I really hope that proper investigation will be carried and shed light on this issue. At the same time I expect from the Serbian state to support investigation and help the prosecutors in finding out what happened to the Albanian missing persons.
