"U.S. goal, Serbia in EU"

Oh please stop this nonsense.

One has to just look at the US involvement in Kosovo before and after 1999 and its meddling in Sandzak to know that all it wants to do is destroy Serbia and use it as the fall guy/scapegoat for all America's wrong decisions in the Balkans.

Could not agree with you more.
US sees Serbia as little Russia and therefore needs to be destroyed or brought to their knees enough to show Russia that anyone else who supports Russia that will get the same treatment.

The US does not want Serbia in the EU. It's only words and words are cheap. If they wanted Serbia in the EU it would already be well on the way there. This is delaying long enough to cement their puppet government in Serbia and keep people voting for them.

These kinds of comments make it seem as U.S. hold the decision, and not the EU. The U.S. wants to watch over and control the EU.
This should be something for only European countries to speak of. Why should the U.S. speak of an organization it is not a part of - the U.S. is not an EU country.
The EU is, or will/might be, a competitor to the U.S. if enough independent. However, with U.S. heavy influence and control, a growing EU will mean more U.S. control through it.
I believe the U.S. pushed through NAFTA in response to the EU. But NAFTA doesn't appear to be working as well or the same to the EU. And NAFTA, to grow more, would have to also bring in the South American countries.

"Brush said that the U.S. is working “with all of its influence, energy and capacities” to make sure that Serbia enters into the European Union and Euro-Atlantic relations as soon as possible."

In OTHER words, the US is PRESSURING Serbia....both overtly and covertly to become something that "America wants"- and not necessarily what Serbia wants. Why shouldn't truly sovereign countries decide on their own paths, instead of being manipulated into servitude by other countries??? This is the biggest reason for Serbia to stay away from the EU....and not to be "swallowed up" for the sake of a "few pieces of silver". Serbia has their own beautiful traditions and history.
