'It will only motivate these people to seek ways of becoming completely self-sufficient and disconnect completely from the temporary institutions.'

Under different circumstances I'd agree with you, Zoran, but for some reason what has happened so far is that, village by village, people have paid the 26 euros and signed the agreement. Belgrade keeps demonstrating that it either can't or won't help - it's forcing people to turn to Prishtina. All of Mr. Jeremic's travels will have been in vain if the Serbs living in Kosovo end up saying, never mind, we're satisfied with things the way they are. From my point of view this would be the best outcome possible, but I can understand if you think differently.

What is so hard to understand about that? Our ethnic Albanian citizens are causing hardship to our Serbian citizens and other ethnic Albanian citizens.

If you are striving to achieve western values then switching electricty off for a whole month and affecting 15,000 people is certainly not the right way. It will only motivate these people to seek ways of becoming completely self-sufficient and disconnect completely from the temporary institutions.

(PRN, 30 July 2009 14:45)"

Kosovo Serbs will not negotiate and make deals with a known and proven terrorist! Secondly, the so-called self-proclaimed "Kosovo constitution" has no meaning whatsoever for the Kosovo Serbs because they live in the Republic of Serbia, which has its own and a true constitution. The fact that "you" are ready to give the Serb minority more rights means that at this time (like in the past 10 years) they had less (or no rights in reality). Also stop stealing Serbian ideas ("minority with more rights than anywhere in the world") and stop behaving in an Ottoman way and stop harassing the Kosovo Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo province.

'the next step for them is to apologise Kosovo authrities '

I'd suggest forgetting this step, fast: humiliating the other party is a luxury you can't afford and your international backers won't support because it's counterproductive.

You are obviously a citizen of the US and so you are not even part of "we". Secondly, it seems that you are very proud that the Kosovo Albanians are delibrately causing hardship on the Serbs in Kosovo. The Serbs in Kosovo are citizens of The Republic of Serbia, by heart, by birth, by spirit, by law, and by choice.

Our ethnic Albanian citizens are the most privileged minority in the world. They have a very high level of autonomy and self rule but they still abuse that privilege.

It's time they smartened up and stopped causing hardship to our fellow citizens.

Situation is getting back to normal. Just be patient!

Serbs are gradually realising that nobody is backing them, neither Belgrade nor Moscow, so ...the next step for them is to apologise Kosovo authrities and ask for support from Kosovo government.

Rest assure that ONLY Thaci can help them,... providing that their demands are in line with Kosovo constitution. We are ready to give the Serb minory more rights than they would enjoy anywhere in the world

I don't understand how the temporary institutions think they can build bridges by switching power off for a whole month. Our ethnic Albanian citizens are the most privileged minority in the world. They have a very high level of autonomy and self rule but they still abuse that privilege.

KEK is the sole electricity provider in Kosovo and the Kosovo serbs should be subject to the same rules that the Kosovo Albanians are subject to.

If the situation for the Kosovo Serbs was as bad as some people here try to portray it, then trust me, not a single Serb would have remained south of Mitrovica.

Life for a Kosovo Serbs is "no income taxes, no property taxes, no car registration fees, no de-facto police, no electricity bills, no water bills"

The Serbian Enclaves in Kosovo are every Balkan man's dream.

I forgot a few more:

- Get two salaries, one from Kosovo and another from Serbia + your grandfathers partizan pension and constantly complain about financial difficulties.

- Transport truckloads of cigaretes from Serbia to Kosovo duty free and sell it to Kosovar distributers and complain about freedom of movement and lack of inter-ethnic good relations.

- have KFOR escort you to the border, although you know that if you get KS licence plates, nobody will actually care. And if the police stop you because you broke any traffic rules, they will be reluctant to fine you (because of the principle of inter-ethnic relations) and will let you go. But you do it anyways (have KFOR escort you), because you want to feel like a VIP and if you are really lucky, there will be a CNN journalist who can report about your lack of security.

Kosova-USA

KEK representatives Tuesday also demanded the keys to the EPS management building, but it will remain under EPS control.

I can understand why K-Serbs handed the keys to KFOR,and that is supposedly to save face. But, KFOR will hand the keys to KEK, and EPS will not have control what so ever.
I think is high times that K-Serbs learn to look towards Prishtina rather than Belgrade. If they choose later one, they will drift further towards abyss.
