The problem can be solved if the Serbians accept our independance, but they will not accept it, unless the international community convinces them to do so,".

The Serbs needed to accept EULEX so we get talks of a 6point plan and suddenly Serbia is the hero for forcing the Albanians to accept EULEX. Now the need is there to bring the K-Serbs in line so Serbia will introduce some talks and present the A plan under a different name and all Serbia will be happy because they forced Kosovo to accept the A plan err..I mean the non A plan.

"...right form that will satisfy the Serbs" would be to keep Kosova under Serbia,

"..the form offered by [Martti] Ahtisaari is unacceptable," Unacceptable to Serbia but acceptable to Kosovar Albanians.

"...the Serbian government and Serbs will not back anything with the prefix 'independent' or any kind of republic of Kosovo," Ivanović said.

Than hands off Kosova!

"Ivanović also said that decentralization could improve the Serbs' living conditions, because they would strengthen their community at the local level and create conditions for sustainable survival." What exactely he means it would be easier to split Kosova and create conditions for "peaceful" partition.

"The problem can be solved if the Kosovo Albanians accept our proposal, but they will not accept it, unless the international community convinces them to do so," Ivanović added.

Albanians know very well about Ivanovic indecent proposals.

You can't compare Bosnia here. Bosnia's people differ in the sense that the IC is pushing for more centralization against the wishes of the Serbs and even the Croats. The "Bosniaks" would be better off if they centralized their own entity and left RS alone, and there's your stability in Bosnia

""The problem can be solved if the Kosovo Albanians accept our proposal, but they will not accept it, unless the international community convinces them to do so," Ivanović added."

And herein lies the strategy. Serbs need to bypass the Albanians for the real people in charge, the United States and EULEX. Pristina talks big and on occasion when they forget themselves they make boasts they know aren't true. But they won't do anything without Washington's or Brussels' consent. So I'd say it's time Serbs go right to the source to put pressure on the intractable middle man.

"If someone cares about political stability in Kosovo and the region, they must think about the right form that will satisfy the Serbs, and the form offered by [Martti] Ahtisaari is unacceptable,"

Stable like BiH is, right? We learned the lesson there. Serbia should have pushed for partition North of Ibar before 2/18/2008. Now you are a day late and a dollar short.

--" He declined to give away details of the numerous consultations Belgrade has had with international community representatives on the issue of decentralization."

Hehe, they keep telling the same lie to Serbs without power too.
