@bganon, so true.

Nobody is untouchable and all this support for Milo from the Albanian camp only proves that they will support any criminal as long as he gives them what they want.

Amazing that Albanians here are defending Milo, for the simple fact that he chose to recognize a K_Albanian Kosovo. He did that to save his own skin, not for the love of Albanians. Imagine how he refers to them in the privacy of his own chamber. BTW, Montenegrens are not crazy about Kosovo Albanians either. I am sure you would not be so supportive then.

The Montenegro Connection: Love, Tobacco, and the Mafia

Milo Djukanovic and his "little cat" Dusanka Pesic Jeknic were once in love.
Seems Milo could now throw his Duska under the bus.

by reading lots of comments to various articles in this home page I got the impression that in the whole balkans only Albanian mafia was making busines and rulling all Balkans!!!
(Simple Mind)

Simple Mind! Mafia do not claim to be nationalistic. It is true that the term came from Sicily. But even at that time Italy was not united. Like the Good, Evil does not know borders. I do not think there is an Albanian, Serbian, Russian etc. mafia. They are all members (connected or not) of a criminal organisation. Your comment do not make Serbs feel better blaming other nations beeing Mafia. I am not sure, but I think Mafia (Albanian, Serbian, etc. etc.) is ruling the region. They do not need it. Our guys in the government (Albanian, Serbian, CG, FYROM, BiH etc.) are ruling and making business with Mafia.

Almost every President is involved in corruption, so stop with propaganda against Milo.
Only because he has chosen the wastern path doesn't mean he's that bad. Who knows why Tadic is receiving threats, could be anything but people simply won't know it.

Mircea, tx for continuousely repeating the same and let me repeat again that for Switzerland this is a no go place! It was largely refused a few times before thru referendum and the Eu skepticism has never been so high!

How does this person know all that? This does not read like news, but like rumours being spread by somebody with an axe to grind. I don't think those comments would have made the Western press - at least not in that form. A little more investigative journalism is wanted to confirm or refute this sort of thing
Anyway, Montenegro is sending 40 footsoldiers and some doctors to Afghanistan, and that is bigger news than some politicians' rumours.

How can,at this stage, anyone villify Milo Djukanovic, when he has done that so successfully, himself? Ditto for Boris Tadic.

@ rebel, kosovo-usa,
I suggest that u informed urselves a bit more before posting irrelevant comments!
For ur info, the current swiss investigation is pointing the finger straight to ur heroe and his family! Now, guess what, the Swiss prosecutor doesn't work for the Serbian govnt!

Rebel criticism of Djukanovic came BEFORE Montenegrin recognition of Kosovo. We are not talking about a year or two, these allegations against Djukanovic are a decade or so old.

Its unfortunate that you use the term 'untouchable'. This is often the word people use when referring to Mafia bosses.

so by your logic the Italian judiciary, Swiss judiciary and western intelligent services who have made the same allegations about Djukanovic (and that his governemnt profits from drug smuggling and human trafficking) are Serb propagandists.

And for Milo being brave against Serb aggression or other nonsense like that.

Djukanovic's break with Serbia was the result of the fact that Slobo's son wanted a monopoly on cigar imports, Djukanovic didn't want this.

Also. If Djukanovic was so brave he wanted of said these beautiful gems to encourage the war [ something Slobo didn't do, and some of them are so ridiculous not even Seselj would claim such things]:
1. "Because of the Croatian flag, I hate chess now."
2. "25,000 Ustasha and Kurdish mercenaries are preparing to invade Boka, we must attack Dubrovnik before they try."
3. "The Croats want to destroy Njegos's mausoleum."
4. during the 1997 elections in Montenegro he would say the following " (insert village name) gave more volunteers for the war then all of Belgrade."

Djuaknvoic's break with Serbia is more to do with his criminal interest and his fear that after the break that had he stayed in a union with montenegro he would be prosecuted for treason for actions during the NATO bombing or extradited abroad illegally like Slobo was.

I think that this is a vilification campaign against MILO, to try and put him in as much of a negative light as possible for recognizing Kosova. I think that this is a proven Serbian strategy, to put as many epithets on a person as possible in an attempt to discredit him. Dukanavic is a courageous man who had the heavy equipment to stand up to Serb pressure and do what's best for his country. He has Western allies, and he is untouchable.
(Rebel, 28 July 2009 14:22)

If you really believe that, I have some ocean front property with a private villa in Kosovo I would love to sell you.

If only Serbs stopped smoking, then they'd stop being enablers to the cigarette mafia and a host of other ills. Just say no to cigarettes!
