Ok i understand that point of view.

But isnt it true that albanians already believe that this story is untrue without investigation?

Isnt it true that Albanaisn will accept the ICJ rulling only if its in the favor of them?

Try to put your self on both sides. The truth is somewhere in between.

And second why does organ harvesting disturb that much an average Albanians? We know its the work of some criminal individuals. Have you all participated in it? No! So even if its true why do you care that much?

Of course not. A corrupt, politicaly motivated system is not out for justice. Delay, and eventualy the issue of butchering people for their organs will not be relevent. After all, it happened such a long time ago and "we need to move forward". After all, isn't the EU working for the greater good and the ends justify the means?

Read the above, it will give you an idea why things move a bit slower in the Balkans. The Albanian organ harvesters will be exposed one day, for sure. It is unfortunate that they will have probably died of natural causes by then. Roast in hell, none-the-less.

(nikshala, 21 July 2009 16:43)

The point is, if the shoe was on the other foot the yellow brick road would lead to the prison for any Serb.

All this is is accountability - do you think you are exempt???

EULEX cannot be wasting time looking into alleged organ trafficking.
Its main purpose is to rid the province of Kosovo i Metohija of all remaining Serbs and Roma (if possible).
That's it in a nutshell!
I am sick and tired of seeing these articles about EULEX purporting to do this good deed and that good deed in Kosovo.
It's all rubbish!
Mr. Feith and his cohorts are there to covertly finish the job that KFOR started.

I guess EULEX will not consider the fake testimonies from "witnesses" that Serbian secret services spent tens of thousands of euros of buying. What a fiasco this turned out to be!
There is no evidence! Carla del Ponte couldn't find any, Serbia's BIA and MUP couldn't manufacture any credibility to this case, and EULEX can't prosecute out of thin air, rumors and speculations. Yeah, a yellow house in the middle of nowhere, whose owners can't even afford a washing machine, performed surgeries that need multi-million dollar facilities! Such a story is as fantastic as the yellow brick road.

> He told Kosovo daily Koha Ditore that his team had not found any witnesses, but confirmed that there was a house where the Kosovo Liberation Army had held prisoners.

Given that 'the EULEX mission has yet to start its investigation', is not a surprise 'his team' has not found any witnesses.

Is also not a surprise that e-trolls like 'Kosova-USA' see these statements as an exoneration of charges of 'organ harvestinging' by the albanians - will grasp at any straw in a bid to discount these charges.

Well if you don't like watching the 'serb prosecutor on TV', perhaps Nick Thorpe's piece on the BBC's 'Newsnight' TV program is more to your liking:

The real problem, at least from the albanian perspective, is that it's not just the serbs who are convinced of the seriousness of these charges (see the video link above) - which of course is why you & your compatriots are commenting on this story.

When EULEX does finally decide to kick-off it's 'investigation', can make a start by investigating the sources in these earlier BBC reports:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7990761.stm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7990984.stm

Personally have a lot more faith in the EP's Dick Marty (who has a proven track record when it comes to investigating causes that are unpopular with the establishment) than in EULEX.

(kate, 21 July 2009 15:38)

Maybe the house was not used to remove organs and thats why there is no concrete evidence... have you ever thought of that possibility?

As an albanian, I hope that there is a proper investigation to lay this story to rest once and for all. If it does turn out to be true, then we (albanians) have to face some serious issues, however the evidence so far is very very weak.

The problem lies at the fact that most serbs and others like Kate, already believe that this story happened, therefore if the investigation comes back and states that this never happend and there is no concrete evidence, they will start accusing the western goverments of injustice, conspiracy, and the usual stuff we hear.

Its the same scenario with ICJ - they will only accept the decision if the court rules in Serbia's favour (as already stated by the serbian goverment), otherwise its another conspiracy,..........

so, the bottom line is - whats the point?

I believe that this story was real, and at the very least deserves being taken seriously.

Just as there was no way that the Chinese Embassy was 'wrongly marked on a map' in this day and age where they can see what you're having for breakfast from space; there is no way that 'no evidence' exists if the house was used to remove organs.

Get your act together and do a proper investigation.

Don’t worry Matti Raatikainen, in the case of Kosovo Albanians War Crimes you will not find any witnesses alive (Haradinaj case is the evident example...they were all depleted).

Not enough informations in the book by Carla del Ponte and The Hague archives ? Why not starting from that “house” and then try to unfold the story.

Kosovo Albanians witnesses with surely not ring on your door themselves and the Serbs are very much dead in order to witness?

Only what you have to do is to decide to do your job? Did you?

Matti Raatikainen, the head of the EULEX sector for war crimes investigations, said that there was no other tangible evidence in the case other than media reports and the book published by former Hague Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte.
