I don't think the EU will expand too soon at all.

Iceland has the fishery problem, Croatia has the border problem, Macedonia has the name problem, Albania has the corruption problem, Bosnia has the unstable government problem, Kosovo has the lack of recognition problem, Montenegro has the lack of benefits for the EU problem, Turkey... where do I even begin with Turkey?

Not to mention that the Lisbon Treaty has not been ratified and the EU took Bulgaria and Romania in too quickly (expansion fatigue and corruption problems).

I think it will be like this for many years to come.

The Balkan states will be turning in to welfare states if they join the EU. They will be waiting for hand outs instead of working and solving their problems to their own benefit. Not for multinational Co and geopolitical straightedges of the big EU members for their benefit and control.

The €U has already bitten off more land than they can shew let alone digest it.

Remember extremely fat Mr. Creosote in Monthy Pyton? The one who exploded in grease and pork after the dinner?

Just that little tasty mint-cake after the eating and puking might be Croatia....

Move on good people of the balkans, the wealthy 20% of the €U are already swimming in cheap labor and the social welfare is no more due to IMF.

Croatia will be the 28th Member State of the EU, Iceland will be the 29th Member State of the EU.

Who will be the 30th Member State of the EU?

Macedonia? Montenegro? Serbia? Albania? Bosnia?

We will see.
