Šešelj contempt of court verdict on Friday

SIX Years in detention and the usual NATO farce hasn´t even started yet. What will future historians make of this stalinist show trial?

They know they can´t win and they know another mystrerious "suicide" or "death" won´t work so this "contempt" comes in pretty handy.

Because if released, he would run for the next election and he & Serbia (not USA) will win.

This is a farce. 7 Years for contempt of Court for a non continuing transgression is unprecedented.
I have nothing but contempt for this court.Rather than bringing justice to victims this has been one shabby miscarriage after another.

This court has sentenced people who were guilty of war crimes to less time- this is absurd. A poorly written comedy and a testimony to Hubris

Yes this is a big farce... 7 years in detention! And still no conviction? He should have been sentenced to life in prison a dozen times by now. Why is it taking so long.

Justice is never a farce and Mr Seselj knew this; he is a lawyer if I remember well.

The Seselj trial is no joke, it is a political show trial. Unlike Bukharin, Seselj will not make a false confession. The sentencing for contempt is nothing more than psychological torture - a defendant has the right to confront his witnesses - witnesses should not be allowed to hide.
