John,
Who is this 'we' that you talk of?

Ethnic Albanian party leaders in the south of the country on Tuesday condemned an incident when a <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2009&mm=07&dd=14&nav_id=60475" class="text-link" target= "_blank">bomb exploded in Preševo</a>.

John,

pre 14 godina
As I suspected. Point the finger at Serbs because that is the way to blacken their reputation again.
It's always Serbia's fault, according to Albanians. What would Serbia have to gain by planting bombs on their own door? Nothing. This is not going to give them the green light to ethnically cleanse the Albanians from the are and they know that. So why would Serbs do it then?
Serbs have nothing to gain, but Albanians have a lot to gain. There is a pattern here. First terrorize the population and kill police and when Serbian government reacts (or over reacts), accuse them of brutality and ethnic cleansing. Proclaim that area independent from Serbia because Serbia has lost the right to rule there and presto, you have another Albanian country.
Even blind Freddy can see this.

"You push the local albanian population out of Presevo valley - rest assured that local serb pupulation will be pushed using same tactics out of Nothern Kosovo."
John, Serbs have been systematically getting pushed out of Kosovo since 1944. Have you been asleep all this time? Next time do some research before you write.

The comments from Albanians in this forum can be summarized:
Give me, give me, give me, or else!
And then when we give them stuff, but it is never enough. Always want more.

@John
So let me get this straight. Serbian police families get bombed and the police get grenades fired at them, and you are calling Serbs violent and threatening them with sanctions and what have you.
I got news for you, save your threats for whoever committed these criminal acts.
Also, it's too bad you don't think the economic infrastructure is so good in Presevo. It's not very good in lots of places these days, and hopefully that will get better. But why aren't you concerned about Serbs who live south of the Ibar in Kosovo? They have it much worse than Presevo Albanians.

KOSOVARi, what discrimination are Albanians under in the Preševo Valley?
John, all this proves is that it doesn't matter whoever the Serbian or Macedonian government is or whether it is 1999, 2001 or 2009, minority Albanians will try to provoke a conflict by either planting bombs or by guerilla tactics like opening attacking the local police.
Trying to claim that Serbia itself planted the bombs without any evidence whatsoever makes you look very foolish indeed.
Serbia has elected its government in a democratic fashion since 1990 and is therefore a democratic country.
As for the article itself, the local Albanian leaders are doing themselves or their people no favours by making some rather cryptic statements.
pre 14 godina
It's simply ridiculous. How does Serbia go about proclaiming its a "democracy" is beyond me. Perhaps a democracy of the 17th century?

When we bombed Serbia over Kosovo we should have never allowed Serbia to retain any authority over the Albanian population. The Serbian authorities are probably looking for an excuse to carry on a slow process of expelling all Albanians from the south of Serbia. How do you accomplish this goal? Plant bombs on the door step of your police headquartes and blame the native Albanians. Respond by sending thousand of troops to area and make the lives of the native inhabitants (Albanians) as difficult as possible so that they will leave the area once and for all.
Serbia should very much be carefull of how it plays its cards. The entire EU is watching how Serbia behaves towards ethnic Albanians and not to mention the US which has been saying for years that Serbia is light years away from being a democratic country. In the end Serbia will pay a hefty penalty for trying to disrupt a region. There will be economic sections forget about joining europe or getting in the White Schengen list should you start trouble in the presevo valley.
If you want peace then you should seek peace. Invest on infrastructure and education sector. Send in the high ranking officials to view the situation first hand and see what steps can be taken to normalize and advance the economic and political situation. The Serbian government has not done anything to improve the situation of the Albanians in the Presevo valley. You push the local albanian population out of Presevo valley - rest assured that local serb pupulation will be pushed using same tactics out of Nothern Kosovo. Tit for tat.

Discrimination is what an ethnic Albanian has to face living under Serbian rule. I mean this is the country that harbors International War Criminals burns down borders, throws Moltov Cocktails (bombs) at Embassies and always blames Albanians Albanians Albanians.

this is a very clear case of someone, or someones, trying to spark another problem via ethnic tensions. these hidden parties are trying to destablize the area for some misplaced personal gains.
it is a shame that the level headed minds in this region have appearantly been fairly muted and their voices are barely heard over the constant scratches of destabalization.
of course it would be far too much to ask for any of these so-called impartial internationals to try to help and stabalize Kosovo a little bit more. when serbia is bordered on the south by the very unstable region of Kosovo it is easy to see why further regional destabilzations can and will occur.
It seems that it is now the time for the ethnic Albanians living in Presevo area to actively take on a positive role within their region in conjunction with the larger Serbian government, and represent their people, or simply do not participate and do not complain afterwards.
If you don't like where you live and do not participate through proper channels to make your living situation better then you've given up your voice to those that are participating.
It is time for condemnations of these selfish cowardly acts of terroism. Both the Albanian and Serbian sides must severly denounce these acts, regardless of the perpetrators and victims, and to remove the destablizing actors.
I very much will be surprised if either side will stand up and do what is right, but one can always hope that there is a sliver of humanity left in enough people to start making a change for the better.
