The European Commission (EC) adopted unanimously on Tuesday recommendations for visa liberalization for Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia.

The decision will now be placed on the agenda of the EU council of justice and interior ministers.
The proposal should be officially accepted by the justice and interior ministers of the 27 EU members-states, but their stands need not be unanimous, according to the Tanjug report.
Reading these two last paragraphs makes me wonder, what the catch is?
I can understand Montenegro and Macedonia, but Serbia is a different ball game all together.

Certain elements that post here will try to give a negative spin to this but I think that Serbia joining the white Schengen nations is wonderful news, especially for the younger generations. The psychological burden of travel sanctions (that's what visas effectively are) has finally been lifted.
