NABUCCO will be a full success and with the new Bulgarian government, we can expect that there will be changes there, maybe even a cancalation of the South Stream project. But even a delay would be a huge loss for Russia/Gazprom.

Congratulations to Azerbaidshan, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria Romania, Hungary, Austria and likely the Asian countries Kazakstan, Turkeminstan, etc.

Cheers

"Germany/USA started the war because of this and Bondsteel..."

The U.S. wants to see Nabucco built, but until the Gas Wars of '08, the German government was ostentatiously uninterested.

As for the supply situation, it may be more encouraging than the article suggests - after that explosion in the Turkmenistan pipeline that was blamed on Russia's sudden closing of the valves, the Turkmen have been looking to diversify their customer base. In the past few days there have been articles about their new interest in supplying Nabucco. And now, with Bulgaria's new government rethinking their participation in South Stream, finding supplies for Nabucco may get even easier.

We all understand that NABUCCO is not so much of a commercial but rather a political project aimed at Russia’s increasing role on the EU market. Too much fuss over those miserable 30 Bln cubic meters which are still to be found ! With the increasing EU consumption on one hand and the falling reserves of the UK , Netherland and Norway on the other the NABUCCO will change almost nothing. The Russian share of the market will go on increasing.
Everybody is following it’s own goals. Turkey is striving hard to enter EU , Russia needs to keep the existing balance , US moves it’s puppets to poison relations between Russia and EU , Austria means to become the distributing center of NABUCCO , Romania and Bulgaria after all that scandals try to look like good guys plus earn on transit , Germany tries not to look a strategic partner of Russia , Azerbaijan follows the Yugoslavian Middle of the Road policy ect.
Everything is quite OK ! At least Russia has got nothing to worry about. We have good relation with the Islamic government of Turkey , with the Kurds whose territory NABUCCO is planned to cross , with South Ossetia deployed 10 kilometers away from the pipe , with Iran and Armenia , with all Asian potential suppliers ect. Also the falling oil prices do not add attractiveness to the project. So we just enjoy the events concerning as an entertainment.
