You've made your choice so what is stopping you to go and live in Serbia.

He already does: Kosovo je Srbija.

Agim,

You are not a traitor, far from it. The 'Drenica clan' as you call it have a strong sense of belonging and they did not want to be part of Serbia.
(Mospyt, 12 July 2009 18:59)

Why not just identify yourself as "Drenica fanboy" and than no questions asked? Albanians are Albanians, Drenica fanboyz are Drenica fanboyz. It's your decision - but shame on you if you force it down the throat of innocent people. Your posting is a disgrace.

I don't mind to travel to KiM or AL, but I do not want to support anyone who belongs to Drenica Clan. Exception: if they become our customers without me knowing it before and I have to provide customer support. In this case I won't handle Hashish Thaci and Jovan Jovanovic differently. But I keep my opinion about "snake".

I thought he is going to say that this government will be remembered for new work places, better life. Visa liberalization has nothing to do with Serbia prosperity, it is just a debt that has to be paid back to EU.

Don't hope! People are ungrateful! In few months they will start mumbling: "So what if I don't need a visa when I can't afford to go anywhere" And guess who will they blame for the lack of money?

He also said that the "hole in the budget" might be covered by further borrowing: "Serbia is in negotiations with the EU and Russia on a loan, and a loan for the budget, in the amount of several million euros."

BORROW BORROW BORROW. Serbia is being duped.

NO. You will be remembered on how fast your party fell out of power when the eu, at the last minute, denies the visa cancellation.

With your comment you are also giving succor to people here, such as the ubiquitously erudite Ataman who believes to know everything about the Balkans. You've made your choice so what is stopping you to go and live in Serbia.

Sorry Mirko,
EU is giving that to everyone. By next year Albania and Bosnia is gettign it too.

You will be remembered for letting EULEX do whatever they want and for making fools of yourself with Jeremic declarations.

And borrowing billions left and right

This visa thing is completely unfair. I am an Albanian from Kosovo but still consider myself to be a citizen of Serbia (yes I cannot say this in Pristina or the Drenica clans that are now in power will call me a traitor). There should be a way for including everyone in Serbia for visa-free travel.
(Agim, 12 July 2009 13:34)

We can't say anything till we know more details.

What can happen the worst: the government in BG has to issue passports to KiM residents with a different letter at begin and this will be controlled by EU.

Even that case is not really a big problem.

1) Apply for the new passport NOW, ASAP - till nothing is fixed yet. To apply the rule retroactively the EU will need to invalidate all current Serbian biometric passports, which they probably won't dare. They will probably apply it for the future passports.

2) Use the Russian transit route (Kaliningrad/Königsberg) via Poland and conveniently "forget" to visit Russia. Poles or Hungarians will issue the Schengen visa without much hassle. If you go by car, all you need is to make sure, your car has "green card", valid for Russia + EU (new, 2009 forms). Going without "green card" is a bad idea regardless of visa anyway.

3) There are many helpful Albanians in Vojvodina and Belgrade.

As for "Drenica clan" - you are of course right, but here this is your duty as local to "vote different". Many Albanians vote for them just because of the difficult relationship with Serbs and they feel, these people can represent their interests. Some probably because of peer pressure or intimidation.

Sadly anyone who is not criminal is better. Guys from "Drenica clan" don't govern.
