"...Isn't it is time for Serbia to take a hard look at reality..."

Answer: Surely not yet.We are still fighting legal battle on the International Court of Justice.
If our just cause is treasoned there, Serbs may have to accept that they are raped from their land by the supervision of the Nato and Usa military and diplomatic bully.
What's left of Serbs will have to leave or seceed north of the Province from the Albanian part and all Serbian sacret sites will be vandalised and destroyed, as per so many times, in history by Kosovo extremists and with the secret blessing of the West.
Till that day we will live with our Christian hope for justice.

"...Mike, do you honestly think that Serbs will be allowed to do what they are doing to Bosnia?..."

What are you trying to suggest, or may be having as wishful thinking? Another NATO organised ethcal cleansing of Serbs from their land in Kosovo?
Well, Kosovo Albanians got away with it once...why not trying another time?

HAHAHA, the welfare fake-state makes claims on a half-filled regional stage. Even Human Rights Watch denigrates thaci's government. I look forward to next year when the ICJ rules against the UDI and they realize their attempt to steal land has failed.

This was a very childish response on the part of a frustrated Mr.Jeremic, i.e. Serbia, but I understand his concern. Has he been hoisted by his own petard? If Serbia starts sending a representative to official diplomatic gatherings where Kosova/o is in attendance, isn't Serbia tacitly recognizing her as a bona fide state. On the other hand if Serbia refuses to attend diplomatic conferences in the future because Kosova/o is included, won't she run the risk of isolating herself further. This surely creates a rather serious conundrum for Serbia!

Isn't it is time for Serbia to take a hard look at reality.

Van Derb Serbia, there are about 5 million Albanians in Turkey ( according to former Turkish President Suleiman Demirel), that had to leave Kosova because of eethnic cleansing and shady deals Serbia made with the Turks. There are also about 2-3 cities in Albania where its residents are Albanians who had fled Kosova due to ethnic cleansing. Here in the US I know of thousands of Albanians who had to flee when the wars in Bosnia, Croatia, and Slovenia started, because Serbia would forcefully take them to be part of the Serbian army. Often they'd be killed as soon as they were called in; killed by the Serb army; same army that called them. If you are interested on personal stories I have quite a few. I can tell you that all of them who managed to get AWOL where helped by the Croats and the Slovenes and to this day they owe their lives to the people of those countries. If you want to play numbers we can play numbers.

Mike

pre 14 godina

"Mike, do you honestly think that Serbs will be allowed to do what they are doing to Bosnia?"

It's not a question of what I think. It's a matter of what already is. I've been to the north, and with the exception of a few bored looking UNMIK and EULEX officials, there is no indication whatsoever that the traveller has left Serbia. Nowhere did I see the so-called flag of Kosovo until I crossed the Ibar, and then only next to flags of actual countries. This is not the boasting of a nationalist. I find little to no use for nationalistic boasts. Had I gone to Kosovo and saw the otherwise, I would have reconsidered my opinions. But to see the Serbian flag flown everywhere, the RSD used as currency, political posters for parties in Belgade, newspapers, TV stations, and license plates, one is really hard pressed to think the north is even remotely under the control of Pristina. The same goes for Gracanica.

This is the reason why I cannot in any good faith view Kosovo as anything more than an international protectorate at the absolute best. All the formal definitions of sovereignty and territorial integrity fall short in Kosovo. Even in "isolated" Gracanica is there a sign that legitimate sovereignty continues to be directed towards Belgrade, nor emanating from Pristina. And short of another Operation Storm, there's very little that can change that.

So yes, I do believe that the Serbs can do to Kosovo what they are doing to Bosnia because no one is keeping them from doing it. And yes I do believe that Kosovo can be just as international recognized as Bosnia, but just as internally divided and weak.

Let me help you with the numbers: number of 500 000 Serbs is estimated number of the Serbs and non-Albanians who left the Kosovo Province from the year 1945 running away from violence of Kosovo Albanians extremists. When we speak about ethnical Serbian and Kosovo Albanians conflict, rather call it Kosovo Albanian violence, then we do not start with the year 1991, but from the year when aggressive Kosovo Albanian politics against other ethnic groups in the Province started and that is at least 1945 though it is published that the Serbs where leaving the Province all way from the 1900 following the same "pressure".
Number of 50 000 neglected and ignored ( by local Kosovo Albanian communist rulers) cases of violence, rape and murder of Kosovo Serbs and non-Albanians dates back to the year 1980 and death of Tito.
Year 1991 surely suites Kosovo extremists better, because it minimizes the scale of Serb and non-Albanian exodus from their Province.
Hope it is clear now.

But let's not exaggerate for the sake of trying to make one's own side morally and strategically superior. After 4 - 5 years, I'm inclined to believe that Kosovo will be so utterly divided internally that it will take at least 2 - 3 people to represent it. One Albanian, one Serb, and one EUrocrat. It doesn't seem anything has changed with Hash. When our Southern citizens claim our "3-4%" Serbian provincial population is insignificant they fail to realise we control about 35% of the territory in Kosovo that is loyal to Belgrade.

So when Hash claims Kosovo is a "sovereign, democratic state with full integrity" he is lying. There is no "state" integrity when borders are open and a significant part of the territory is controlled by Belgrade.

It's time to face reality my fellow citizens. People like Hash are part of the problem and until he and his like are replaced there will be little or no progress in our southern province.

Do you really want to support these people with their delusional ideas or would you prefer to build bridges with all ethnicities and to live in peace for a change?

Answer: Surely not yet.We are still fighting legal battle on the International Court of Justice.
If our just cause is treasoned there, Serbs may have to accept that they are raped from their land by the supervision of the Nato and Usa military and diplomatic bully.
What's left of Serbs will have to leave or seceed north of the Province from the Albanian part and all Serbian sacret sites will be vandalised and destroyed, as per so many times, in history by Kosovo extremists and with the secret blessing of the West.

Serbia will take care to bring Taci to justice for his War Crimes and concerning Djukanovic's "smugglings", EU should sort him of and out adequately.
And concerning Kosovo as anything of the State, first do provide return of up to 500 000 Serbs and non-Albanians to their homes stollen by Kosovo Albanians and bring to the Court more then 50 000 cases of the rapes and murders of Serbs and non-Albanians in last 30 years. Please spare us more of the neocon 'Axis of Evil' crap that has long been discredited. Many democratic states support Serbia like New Zealand, Brazil, Bolivia, Venezuela, Spain, Slovakia, Greece, Cyprus, Palestine, Indonesia, India, South Africa etc.

You are sounding increasingly ridiculous by lumping these states in with the likes of Iran, Zimbabwe and North Korea who themselves are completely dissimilar to each other.

Your statement reaks of ignorance, shows a distinct lack of knowledge of international affairs and is highly offensive to boot.

Still, it's kind of funny for him to talk like this when everywhere he looks, he must be reminded how "sovereign" his "state" is with international security, international donors, international authorities providing security, and the daily knowledge that considerable parts of this "state" are completely outside his authority.

dean van der serbia,

I think you have mixed up the number of serbs and non-albanians who has left their homes in Kosovo after the war. How can it be 500 000 non-albanians who has left their homes when the serb minority in Kosovo 1991 were about 10 % of the whole popualtion in Kosovo wich were 1,9 million then? That means only 190 000 serbs lived in Kosovo 1991. This numbers is all from Serbian state sources and not made up by me or someone else. Go to the belgrade goverment and check it for your self if you want.

I means if we now are going to send our comments here on B92 so let it be real facts. This is fair to all sides and also to B92 wich seems to be a credible serbian site where everybody can send their thoughts and comments about the news here.

Lasting peace can only be achieved through negotiations and with that we must accept reality. Ethnic Albanian self-rule is reality but independence is not.

I'll admit that it's easy for Hash to engage in bragging rights everytime Belgrade gets itself into a snit. I'm quite sure our Eliza Doolittles in Pristina who enjoy the company and free food of a summit will continue to act as if the entire region is under their jurisdiction. But look at how well that works for Siladzic in Bosnia.

Funny, but not true. North of Ibar is 9%, and that's 100% under KFOR, KPS and EULEX control. When you control the borders and customs then you can talk. Kosova will be decentralized so you will "control" the munis, but only because they let you. Big difference.

Mike

pre 14 godina
