This tells a lot or you want to say that police officers did that to themselves so that they can accuse albanians? It is important to mention that albanians were doing same thing in Kosmet. Remember when they killed serbian teenagres in cafe in Kosmet? They were talking same story thath they talk now!

i am really sorry that you think that serbs in Kosovo has no rights, it is not true at all, they have more rights than any minority all over the region, have a look to the Kosovo Constitution and you will see. Serbs in Kosovo are unfortunately pushed by Belgrade to ignore Kosovo instituions, otherwise they are practicaly indipendent to do all what they want if they would like to use their rights.

Dear Ballkan, I agree with you 100%, but it looks like the interior minister of Serbia has already solved the case in less than 12 hours. The investigations depend ultimately on him. Borrowing a Serbian saying, with these politicians we have in the Balkans who needs enemies? But it is also true what De Maistre, a french guy, said, "every people deserves the leaders it has". You have to look at who has the most to gain from provoking a conflict with Serbs. Yes! Of course! Albanians. Kosovo will be partitioned and the Albs want to grab some more territory by provoking Serbs, running back in to Kosovo and hoping NATO will "liberate" Presevo. All previous attacks on Serb police have been commited by Albanains under similar circumstance so there is absolutely no reason to think it's anyone else.

First of all such acts against police should be condemned strongly by all sides.

“I wonder when this Albanian madness will stop”

How do you know that the attacker were Albanians since until know there is no sign about them!!! Secondly when an Albanian in P&B or Hungarian in Vojvodina carried out something like that then it is madness while for the Serbs in central Serbia is it just a normal or !!!! In the recent days we have heard several attacks with hand grenades around Serbia but the response was not something like that:

“We are ready to eliminate them in any case. The Interior Ministry, our police and Gendarmerie will carry out their duties, and respond most energetically to any attempts to violate Serbia’s territorial integrity and attacks on MUP officers,“ Dačić underlined.

We know that the criminals all have the same face. In Serbia this is a bit different. Obviously Serbia is still living in old times.

“I feel such anger and truly tend to believe that Albanians are incapable of doing anything progressive in terms of contributing positively to society they belong to.”

You may believe whatever you want. Me as an Albanian, based on another article today I also believe that the only solution that Serbs offer is “ to eliminate” the same as to Berisha family. I can say that now and forever you won’t be able anymore to eliminate even a single innocent Albanian.

“These kinds of incidents cannot be tolerated any longer and Serbian citizens cannot suffer any longer Albanian rampage. With the last violence I have lost every respect for Albanian population residing in Serbian lands.”

It seems that territorial aspirations did not stop with our Kosmet province and that miscreants would like more of Serbian land.

I feel such anger and truly tend to believe that Albanians are incapable of doing anything progressive in terms of contributing positively to society they belong to. I wonder when this "Albanian" madness will stop.

When the Serbian propaganda machine stops shooting itself in the foot.

When the MUP warcriminals are ALL cought, When 10% of the Serbian police force is Albanian's thats were real peace will come.

For those that look for Terrorists I suggest that they go back to riots in Mitrovica last year where Ukrainian UNMIK police oficer was killed, Belgrade attack on foreign Embassys last year, story bellow of Berisha family execution by Serbian forces ...

Biljana

I wonder when this Albanian madness will stop. The latest incident proves me that Albanians really do not know how to use any other tool for reaching goals but extreme violence. What we are dealing with now? Are their human rights again violated by Serbian regime? No, they aren’t.

It seems that territorial aspirations did not stop with our Kosmet province and that miscreants would like more of Serbian land.

I feel such anger and truly tend to believe that Albanians are incapable of doing anything progressive in terms of contributing positively to society they belong to. This is truly disturbing and I would like to see rapid intervention and undertaking decisive steps by our government in rooting out terrorism and terrorists from that part of Serbia.

These kinds of incidents cannot be tolerated any longer and Serbian citizens cannot suffer any longer Albanian rampage. With the last violence I have lost every respect for Albanian population residing in Serbian lands.

I wish our brave boys fast recovery.

Alban

I wonder if Albanians did it, and IF its the case if this has anything to do with Tadic arresting them on bogus charges and parading them on TV in shackles. US warned Serbia on that last month, integrate people, don;t upset them

Rebel

While the police themselves are saying that they do not have any leads whatsoever, and do not know who stands behind the attack, the armchair Serb investigators here at B92 are jumping to conclusions that it must have been Albanians.

Peggy

pre 14 godina

This is how it all started in Kosovo. First they terrorized the local Serb population and then attacked the police.

Now they think they can achieve the same result by attacking police in South Serbia proper.

It's time Serbia stopped playing nice with these terrorists and started to pursue them aggressively.
If the US tries to prevent Serbia from defending herself then Serbia must look to Russia for help.

No more we can negotiate. We can't negotiate because Albanians don't think they should. They demand the lot and will go after it no matter how much Serbia gives.

Ratko

pre 14 godina

This is how it was in Kosmet except on a much larger scale. Serbian police officers were being brutally murdered in cold blood by uck terrorists, and then they would quickly run away like cowards. Hope our brave officers recover quickly from this cowardly attack.

Marinels

pre 14 godina

I am afraid you play the same song you have played always. I think under such condition we can not talk any longer for mutual respect. You have seen so far no Albanian to support any kind of terrorism. I mean the truly comments not from nationalists who are present at both sides.

First of all...some Albanian posters here do not speak for all Albanians.

Neither do those Albanians (if they are indeed Albanians, which no one knows yet) that pulled the trigger act on behalf of all of us.

I hope whoever did this gets caught and punished accordingly.

Biljana, Peggy, etc.... please spare us the "I lost respect for Albanians..." talk. I've been in this forum long enough to know that even if honey pored out of every Albanian's mouth, you would still find a fault with them.

Easy with the self-righteousness...we know better.

Absolutely nothing !!!! but sorry...YOU DID IT....But perhaps was it Albanians that asked Zemun Clan to shoot him...

Albanian terrorists again cause. When they get a prescribed response, he will take the well-known scenario: we are victims of repression.
Yeah! Right! Fortunately, they are not believed. After the lies called Racak massacre, they have lost all credibility.

Yes, you are exactly right, it's happening just like before. Only this time, Serbia MUST also win the information/media battle and expose these terrorists for who they really are. This is critical.

"...still major security problems in certain regions of Serbia, especially the south, of which EULEX would be advised."

Inform EULEX! To do what? EULEX have been looking the other way while Serbs have been terrorized by Albanians. Who doesn't remember 2004! If you want to get rid of these terrorists then do it your self. Albanians are provoking the Serbs once again. However, this time Albanians will have to fight their own battle. No NATO interventions this time, FOR SURE! I feel sorry for the wounded soilders but I hope the Albanians will continue with what they do best: provoking and terrorising.

I am just wondering why everybody belives that they are albanians ?

The MUP has no suspect. Why don't you serbs in here hand over one if you are so sure who the suspect is ? In those region there also lives serbs and it dosen't mean that an albanian did the act. It could have been a serb also. Or criminal gangs made up of both albanians and serbs maybee ?

The real deal is that we don't know yet who it is so stop talking nonsens. Serbs should stop blaiming others for their misery and albanians in Serbia should use all legall means to get out their reight wich they deserve. Serbia has to give them a hand or else that region will not have peace. Pressure the albanians like you do and you will lose preshevo valley and Bujanovc also.
People don't want to live with serbs if Serbia sends the whole serbian army in Preshevo wich is the case now.

"More rights for minorities, more peace will be..."

If you are refering to Presevo the albanians there have more rights than serbs in Kosovo could ever dream of. It's not about rights, it's about stealing more territory since the albanians know Kosovo is being partitioned.

I feel sympathy for the officers. But the revelry of the Milosevic nationals here is at first amusing.
But it leaves no question as to WHY Kosovo can never be under Serbian control again.
All it would take is one such incident and a similar propaganda speil as what you see here and the 90's would look like a picnic.

Zoran

pre 14 godina

Hans, what does this have to do with the political assassination of Đinđić?

We control that area so what would shooting at our own police achieve? Even the BBC reported this as an Albanian attack but somehow Serbians are to blame?

It's time to stop this nonsense and to start living in harmony with each other or you'll be here for the rest of your live arguing and achieving nothing.

Do want your children to have a future or to learn and spread hatred?

"Shireta Berisha, who survived the massacre in Suva Reka in which four of her children were killed, testified earlier in the trial. Only two others survived along with her.

Even Taliban have more "class" than this...

Ballkan

Dear ballkanians,
Calm down please! Let the investigation go on... No presure can solve the problem. It is very obvious that Serbs and Albanians do not see each other with good eye, but violence generate violence, so do not call for repression, because hates leads to nothing!
More rights for minorities, more peace will be...

Zoran

Oh come on, what do we have to gain by injuring our own police? Please answer that my southern Serbian citizens? We already control that part of central Serbia so this a terrorist act. Stop justifying crime and start working to improve relations with your neighbours. The simple fact is that we have to learn to live side by side otherwise what hope does that region have? Stop blaming everyone for your problems and grow up please.

A good start will be to learn to negotiate like the rest of the civilised world.

MikeC

You have to look at who has the most to gain from provoking a conflict with Serbs. Yes! Of course! Albanians. Kosovo will be partitioned and the Albs want to grab some more territory by provoking Serbs, running back in to Kosovo and hoping NATO will "liberate" Presevo. All previous attacks on Serb police have been commited by Albanains under similar circumstance so there is absolutely no reason to think it's anyone else.

It's a vicious circle, we need a deus ex machina, hopefully the EU, to end it.

MikeC, I realize that there are many that will do whatever it takes to rid Kosovo of any non Serb. That is the problem, still today. Kosovo will never be turned over to Serbia by the international community which includes sponsors of 1244 Russia and China as well as the other permanent members of the UNSC.

However at the end of the day the people responsible have to be identified and measures put in place to prevent this from happening in the future.

just another reason to be against this stillborn puppet-entity they call "kosova" - they simply cannot live by the rule of law.

and that´s also why Serbia will prevail.

every greater-albanian crime is good for the serbian cause.
