Kostajnica does not in any way have a Muslim majority, the prefix is only there to identify which side of the river it’s on. There’s also a “Croatian” Kostajnica on the other side of the river, which because of the massive ethnic cleansing of the Serb population there actually has a Croatian majority now. However, before the war, both had Serb majorities, so claiming the names have something to do with the ethnic composition is somewhat silly. My wife is from Kostajnica, so I’d know. No one there refers to it as Bosanski Kostajnica. I personally don’t care either way.
I am concerned with the border dispute with Croatia there however. They are occupying portions of the Bosnian side of the river. Why isn’t that a concern for Croatia to solve before entering the EU?
