'Nobody listens to this guy in Serbia.'

Read the Serbian comments to "Jovanović kritikuje poziv na bojkot"- 58 of them, and the vast majority are highly favorable.

Amer,
don´t forget the person
called "moderator" on B92!
And there is a bunch of us in Serbia
who have a quite different opinion
about this guy and his party.
But that is what we wanted back
in 90`s demostrations against
Milosevic.
"Democracy".
Now we have to live with it.
Svakog dobra!

Čedomir Jovanović should go to Kosovo, visit the Serbs there and then the Albanians. And see where he is more welocme. No one supports this guy, not in Serbia proper (less than 6%) of the voters and not in Kosovo (not even 1%) of the voters.

If Serbia is continues to stay interested in the Kosovo Serbs plight then they are not isolated. On the other hand the LDP's policy would isolate them totally.

To all normal people no person who agrees to the theft of Serb territory can be taken seriously. The fact remains: albanians are trying to steal and ethnically clense Kosovo from anything not albanian. Who can and should agree to this? You have people like Jovanovic everywhere. They speak their minds but nobody is taking them seriously.

thank you, cedi, for echoing my comments from yesterday, but in yr own words of course. the bldg's regime is so irrational, and not helpful to serbs in kosovo/a; who remembers the 90s?

i have often asked "where is cedi?? in all of this madness" so i cannot tell if he/they are keeping a low profile or are just marginalized by the media. but anyways cedi is no traitor -- he is the true patriot in the best sense, and for that the nationalists despise him.

cheers!

"I think that on the contrary, LDP should be made illegal and Mr. Čedomir Jovanović boycotted.
(andreea denet, 3 July 2009 13:18)"

Off course it "should". Everything that is not extremist should be made illegal in Serbia, and then you are wondering why nobody in the world is supporting u. Even Montenegro and Macedonia is distancing themselves from Serbia due to these extreme policies.

The LDP has been calling for the independence of Kosova since the late '80s. Not to mention that threats against their life have been made handful of times.

IDK why PM Thaci does not invite Jovanovic to visit Kosova on a diplomatic visit. Let him bring the cameras, let beograd really see that Kosova hs progressed beyond their imagination.

“People who are playing the ‘Serb’ card in Belgrade, while Serbian government ministers are being stoned in Kosovo, cannot be a benchmark for state policy, and still less leaders of the Kosovo Serbs. Enough lives, property and security have been sacrificed for the sake of proving phony patriotism,” Jovanović said.

I had no idea that there's a politician in Serbia that had the guts to bring up the reality of Kosovo everyday lifes in belgrade,I'm sure that he'll be quoted as a traitor (from some Serbian nationalists ) even though he's just telling what would be the right thing to do for Kosovo Serbs, manipulation of other peoples lives it's easy especialy when that doesn't afect your life, that's something that Kosovo Serbs should clearly understand .

I agree. But one thing: Albanians must make clear that Kosovo is still part of Serbia.

This issue is much more important then Kosovo itself!

“The call for a boycott only strengthens the extremists that use the fate of the Kosovo Serbs as an excuse to continue policies of isolationism, which is destroying Serbia and pushing its people into ruin, similar to what happened in the 1990s,” Jovanović said in a written statement.

Mr. Jovanovic is absolutaly right, even though I don't know much about him but you have to take under consideration the facts on the ground, which it seems he did very well and he cares about fellow serbs.

Hello,
Bravo Jovanovic. The day when a high level serbian representativ will fly from Belgrade to Prishtina, and say to the authorities in Prishina enough "blablablabla" and let's go now, and work together... not by recognizing the Kosovo independece, but just to work together and find solutions to the problems together... their will be something which we call European Integretion... Not as say Jeremic the nationalist, and other serbian officials, nor the Kosovar authorities in Prishtina... For me, we have to work together, and go further...
