Mr. MarKo,

Actually I'm neutral on the subject of autonomy. While it would have some advantages, you're arguement against is a very valid strong one, and will remain so until there are sweeping changes, both of people and procedures, on the political scene. However, I do live in constant amazement at how some posters automatically equate autonomy or regionalization with attemps to destroy the state, and, as a teacher, I feel an urge to make them aware of their mistakes. Call it a professional deformity.

"He added that the demand of the Hungarian Coalition to introduce a "civil multi-ethnic guard" in the northern town of Subotica was "not based in reality", and that it is an effort to "create drama at all costs". "

I have no idea who created that demand and why.

I do not know, why B92 does not report, today a court in Budapest did outlaw the infamous "Magyar Gárda" - and it's a second instance. The first instance did outlaw it in December 2008.

Just wanted to share some really good news - nazis got officially a boot.

What for not really clear. Is the situation that dramatic? And what "situation"? Here 160 km north of Subotica we do not know much, at least not from the usual "hvg.hu", "168ora.hu" or "nol.hu" sources.

Maybe that's my fault - and instead of reading some neoliberal bolshevik freemason Jewish-communist propaganda - I should rather read true Hungarian patriotic sources which ask for Prizren being returned to Hungary?

Mr. Celt I am of Serbs from Vojvodina- why do we need autonomy? why should we have to pay for a parliment in belgrade and another in Novi Sad. All we need is better representation in Belgrade and a tax system that does not cripple the growth and development of Vojvodina or any other region within Serbia.

Some Minorities say under Tito we had autonomy; this is bunk there was no autonomy under the Communists everyone had to do what they were told or they suffered for it.

The people of Vojvodina do not need communists and we do not need Tito's Autonomy either.

As an old Lala recently told me sitting with a glass of local grape brandy in his hand -We do not need an artificial government to steal from us when we already have a government in Belgrade doing that.

Looking back and seeing how Serbia has been dismantled its not surprising that Serbs look at this statute with great suspicion. Hungarians and other minorities in Vojvodina show little or no respect by asking for this statute to be considered at a time when Serbia is struggling to keep its country together. Autonomy today, illegal independence tomorrow. No thanks! This statute should be rejected and never again brought up.

Vojvodina Statute? What the hell is that?

These "ethnic" parties are nothing but troublemakers. Someone needs to remind them this is not Hungary!

"The fact that some ethnic parties are doing everything in order to use the so-called ethnic card and try to create fear with their people is an effort to get voters back,"

They shouldn't bother, DS's consistent policy of putting party interests and affilliations over the interests of the people they are suppossedly representing is alienating voters faster than you can say "Recount".
